day 2 of @moceitweek and of course i had to take the opportunity to draw from one of my favorite moceit fics-

These are the first few lines from Bother Me a Little Bit Longer by @impatentpending ! One of my favorite interpretations of their dynamic !!! very cute I love how they interact !!! insane about it !!!!!!!

basically, they get married and divorced a bunch of times. that's it. silly fluff domestic stuff with some interesting character development. i have never been normal about it since !!!

Meanwhile, Patton doesn't fully understand what he's feeling for Logan. Yeah, he cares about him and cares about him in a different way to how he cares about the other sides. It's a different type of fondness. He doesn't view Logan as one of his kids, but that must be because they've known each other for so long. This is surely just pure friendship feelings. Just deep platonic feelings. If he'd known the other sides for as long he surely would feel the same for them. Right?

Logan, on the other hand, feels agitated. Something about Patton breaks the rules that Logan follows. He finds it so annoying how cute he finds Patton, how endearing he finds the puns, and nothing makes sense to him. He's not the best at feelings. He knows that, and this is a problem that he can't understand at all. Patton makes Logan want to be less serious, more silly, to give in to things that are "childish." Logan doesn't give in, though. He refuses because if he was to allow himself to behave in a way that isn't mature, would he be taken seriously as logic? If he allowed his feelings to affect his decisions, would he be reliable? Instead, he tries to suppress them and tries to ignore them. He doesn't know what the feelings are exactly. He doesn't want to know. He just wants them to go away.

They bicker like old couples, as they don't fully understand each other. But they know each other well. Better than anyone. So there's still moments of softness. Those moments only appear when they're alone, as those moments feel private. Intimate. A weird understanding between the two of them that they just don't want to share with the other sides.

Maybe someday they'll understand each other. Maybe someday they'll realise what's going on.

Until then, their dynamic will remain the way it always has.
