‎When a person supplicates, they admit inability and dependence upon their Creator, and this humility honours the supplicant. So the more they invoke Allah, the more dignified and noble they are to Him:

Ibn al-Qayyim

“Love those who love you when you have nothing to offer but your company.”

Tawakkul is not the absence of effort, nor is it a denial of cause and consequence. It is the state in which the servant fulfills every obligation with sincerity and care, while the heart remains detached from the outcome. One acts, plans, and strives, yet does not cling to results, knowing that what is decreed by Allāh سبحانه وتعالى is filled with hikmah and far beyond human perception. When this understanding settles in the heart, anxiety gives way to tranquility.

ʾIbn al-Mubārak said :
