The first copies of Taller Than The Trees’ debut EP are rolling down our production line. A quick note for all you audophiles out there, we’re putting these out on high grade Type II Chrome tape. So none of that lo-fi ferro nonsense cassettes are usually loaded with.

A new year brings a new release.

Noorderlicht Records is glad to announce we are taking care of post metal troupe Taller Than The Trees’ debut. Coming February 9th, the boys are hosting a release show at Westerlo’s infamous “Het Debuut”. We highly advise you all to be sensible human beings and roll out to this evening of heavy riffage.

It’s time.

On the shortest day of the darkest month of a bleak year, we present you with the Column Of Light’s second offering. “Post-Katholiek” is an audiocassette featuring 45 uninterrupted minutes of devotional noise. Each tape comes wrapped in a partly phosphorescent j-card and is accompanied by two screenprinted collar patches, a full size A3 poster, a cardstock promotional picture and other undisclosed items. Between artistic dead-ends, structural challenges and malfunctioning hardware, it’s safe to say that it took the patience of the heavens to get this release done. That’s all water under the bridge now because as promised, this year’s Walpurgisnacht is brightened by the shimmering radiance of the Column Of Light.

In 2011, MID)))NIGHT contributed to a compilation dedicated to the Back To The Future trilogy. It was aptly named What The Hell Is A Jiggwatt and came out on Hair On My Food Tapes. Now, almost four years later, the tape finally arrived at Noorderlicht HQ.
