Sometimes I think I'm cursed

Rainie’s smile slipped off her face, replaced with a confused look. “Excuse me? You act as though I’m a petty thief.” She frowned slightly. “That’s my board. I got it as a gift from my friend last year. I even put my name on the bottom of it.” She was getting frustrated, as her hands began to creep their way to her hair, pulling on a lock of it, a trick that seemed to calm her down. “So, please don’t be accusing me of stealing.”

“I hardly think that asking you a small question means that I’m treating you like a petty thief.” He remarked with a snort. “I’m aware that this is but a small piece of plank wood with wheels screwed onto it and that it isn’t much for one to want to steal. Pero, you can never know.” As he spoke, Miguel flipped the board over and noticed that there indeed was a name on the bottom. “Rainie, huh?” he read before shifting his gaze back at her. He held the board out to her. “Is branding your name onto it a way so one can steal this board away from you?”

   “What do you consider as a huge following?” She inquired, arching her eyebrows as she looked over at him. She glanced down at her phone in her hand, swipes her finger up to unlock it. She proceeds to tap a few more times to reach her instagram page to glance at her current follower count. “It’s in the thousands. But you were only on there for a few seconds. Why?” 

“I don’t know— definitely past the hundreds?” He was able to make out as certain thoughts within his mind began to swarm. He was really trying not to think about what could happen if one of his familia members, most likely Rosa or one of the twins, were to find her live stream and see him in the end of it. Hearing that it was in the thousands, Miguel’s eyes widened and he completely bypassed her following question of ‘why?’ “Thousands?! Ay dios— no, no. It’s great that you have over a thousand followers! Amazing even!” His hold against his guitar hadn’t loosen even a bit. “...por favor no dejes que nadie que esté relacionado conmigo sea parte de ese millar” Miguel mumbled.

   —- her hackles raised and defenses were up. there was something about this kid. he just… knew how to push her buttons. “bet,” was all she replied to him and his smirk. she followed his gaze and stared down the person he was talking about. lips pursed and arms crossed over her chest, shock shifted her weight onto her back leg as she looked at miguel once more. “definitely stalking,” she sang, a wicked look on her face. “you can just admit it. your life would be so much easier,” shock replied, letting the spider go on a nearby plant.

This time around, he actually laughed. So he may had cheated because he knew of the person she had gestured to. It wasn’t his fault that she hadn’t been made aware of that, and just because Miguel decided to stay silent about it doesn’t mean that his cheating meant he was a stalker. “It’s call having a keen eye for detail.” He rectified with a snort. For a few brief moments, he glanced back at the woman he had just finished observing before shifting his gaze back at Shock. “Besides, so what if I am a stalker? What’s it to you if I am one or not?”

J: What is their most irrational fear?

Being disowned by his familia for loving music so much and going against their strict rule of ‘NO MUSIC.’

E: Are they the happiest they’ve ever been?

N: Are they clumsy and/or prone to accidents?

Not usually. Clumsy? No, unless he is in a very sleep deprived mood, but he can be prone to accidents from time to time. It really just depends on how many hours he lasted during the night before he has to get back up and start working through his day.

T: How quick are they to cry?

Not often, or at least Miguel likes to think that he doesn’t. Tears is something that he always tries to keep to himself as not even in front of his own familia does he like crying in front of them, but if the right situation calls for him to cry then he probably will. Still will try his very best to not let it show though.

O: How much have they changed in the past five years?

R: When’s the last time they had a birthday party?

S: How do they tell someone they’re sorry?

With a lot of beating himself mentally for being a huge imbécil (if he’s at fault) and a lot of gathering courage. And if he isn’t around his familia or anyone who would possibly tell his familia, Miguel would even play a song that he thinks fits just how sorry he is.

H: Who texts/calls them the most?

As of lately, it’s a tie between Ella and Hector. His tía Imelda is also on top of that list too, but more on Miguel’s side as whenever he is out and wants or needs to talk to his prima, he would usually contact his tía to do so. (Coco does have her own phone, but because she is often bedridden and sometimes too weak to answer a call, much less a text, contacting his tía is always the best option to make sure).

O: How much have they changed in the past five years?

A lot has changed throughout the recent years. Miguel adopted a stray that he loves dearly, his guitar playing has improved immensely especially now that he has a mentor who could teach him more things that watching a video could, he gained a best friend who he cares a lot for and more friends than he could ever imagine having, he discovered that he was related to the one musician Miguel happens to idolize the MOST and well, unfortunately his prima has been getting sicker and sicker by the day even though his tía and everyone else has been trying whatever they can to help her get better. 

C: If they had to pick one sport to play/watch which would it be?

Soccer. Miguel isn’t good at it, but his familia enjoys it, especially his tío Berto and primo Abel. It’s fun playing against it even though Miguel loses most of the time.

K: What do their Youtube suggestions look like?

I: In general, are they organized or messy?

Messy. He doesn’t even have an excuse to why he is, it’s just a matter of fact that he is.

M: When’s the last time they talked to their mom?

This morning, not long after he woke up and had breakfast. Gave her a kiss on a cheek too.

E: Are they the happiest they’ve ever been?

Although Miguel knows that if certain things were to change then he could be happier, as of right now, he will say that yeah, he kinda is. 

L: How often do they post on their social media accounts?

Rarely. At best, Miguel would post once a week, but for the most part he doesn’t think too much about doing so. However, in all things consider, he probably should start posing more.

D: What time does their day usual start?

Seven in the morning for work, but if he is given the chance to actually sleep in for once, then it would be at two in the afternoon. Sometimes he doesn’t even sleep at all, so technically any and all time can be considered the start of his day, but for the most part it’s at 7 am. 

A: Who are their exes? Do they still keep in touch?

You mean like outside of mi familia? I’ll say there are two people; probably. The first one being Shock. Although I won’t refer to her driving me crazy, pero kinda more like how she comes off is rather spellbinding to me that I guess can be considered as driving me a bit loco?…. And as for the second, well, is it weird that the one person who I don’t even make contact with anymore is the one who still drives me the most nuts? ‘Cause just spotting her around town with those friends of hers, each smiling and laughing without a single care in the world?” He shook his head. “Es una especie de locura dolorosa”
