I honestly think the discourse comes from a place of insecurity on hudcels part because there's literally no reason otherwise to feel threatened if someone likes Ilya more. But they seem to operate from a mindset that Hudson (and they extrapolate to his characters) can only be successful if Connor isn't and therefore spend so much time trying to diminish Connor's impact. And it's crazy because there's no need for that. They're both successful and will continue to be successful and all the negativity is therefore not needed.

Sorry for the mini rant, I'm just so over that group of people who never have anything positive to contribute to fandom. I block so many but even in hudcon spaces their discourse seeps in 😭 Just let me support both boys in peace and celebrate their wins and get excited when either of them get mentioned in the pop culture sphere.
