I just saw someone comment “we’ve had all male doctors for over 50 years. it’s tradition” and then follow it up with “I think we need a few more years before we introduce a female doctor” like there weren’t rumors for the last 4 years and 53 years of learning acceptance from the doctor wasn’t enough time

There's been talk of a Female Doctor since the 80s but the fact that it took them this long though.
Thank you for pointing this out! I only got into the show after eleven’s first series and I went back and watched nine and ten so I had no idea about that. Good to know :)
