She’d kept all of her feelings about whatever has been happening as far down inside of her as she could. Until now. Until everything started to boil out, until she saw the hurt and hatred in that brand new vampire’s eyes. Hope wants to run after her – they’ve never met before today and yet – she wants to beg her to stay, to apologize, for wrapping yet another person in the constant death and darkness that is the life of a Mikaelson. there was not a single cell within her frame that did not want to cry out, to scream until her lungs bled. every part of who emmanuella had spent her entire life becoming had been ripped from her. violently. and yet, as much as seconds ago her answer had to been to run as far as legs would carry her, now she felt centered. glued to the city in a way that she hadn't experienced before despite the anger that still burned within her chest cavity. “what if you can't?” it's a wash. momentarily ignored was every other word spoken by someone who had never been her king. at least, not in the sense that emmanuella respected. all she could focus on is that one stupid little sentence — i can teach you.
