sakura leaning into tsubaki's hug here is the most precious thing ive ever seen. oh my heart. oh wind breaker.
if sakura had things like "parentless" written on his desk at previous school(s), it means that his previous classmates knew. they had to know to write it, to mock him, etc. not everything, but key parts; more than the furin guys either way.
a sakura from the beginning of the manga thought it's better to not tell at all then, given how his previous attempts at the whole "opening up" thing went.
but the present sakura changed so much. learnt to listen to the people that surround him, and understand how different they are from his past. learnt more about them. his first (big) step towards them was after KEEL, literally a huge jump off his tightrope into the unknown. he was met with soft grass and light air, but he hadn't expected that.
here, however, he was confident in what awaits him "on the other side".
so furin's reaction to his story didn't surprise sakura. to him, it was a reassurance. proof that his opinion about these people was right. and he's right to trust them.
because previously what he received from others when they found out more about him, were new ways of bullying, and new levels of separation. and now, the very first thing he heard after telling them everything about him, was "i love you".
and i love them all too, this story is just so full of love T-T
