The sun, which is the originator of light and therefore life, and the governor of earth, our world, as well as the world's that are our brothers and sisters. Beyond that, it governs the metal gold, whose glories are well known
The moon is governed by the earth, and possesses no light of its own, it only reflects the light granted to it by the Sun, the originator of light. As the sun grants it light, it also grants it metal, and thusly the moon governs the metal silver
The same is true for the other worlds that seem to glow in the sky, and thusly, the sun grants our sibling worlds light and metal in turn. Mercury governs quicksilver, Venus governs copper, Mars governs iron, Jupiter governs tin, and Saturn governs lead. The Earth governs no metals, as it consumes the Sun's light to feed its life
The alchemists knew all of this, but they had only eyes, so they could not know of the worlds that lie beyond Saturn. But, those worlds that were hidden from them still receive the light of the Sun, and as such govern metals of their own. However, the lack of true alchemical texts on the matter means coming to know which worlds govern which metals is not so simple anymore
As you know, aluminium was once exceedingly rare and precious, until modern machines trivialized its extraction, as the extraction of iron was trivialized long before. But the Sun has no care for the ease or disease of man, and bestowed it's metals with no regard to such things
So I ask you; which of the worlds governs Aluminium?
Finding the true answer to that question is the first step.
This reminded me of an article I’ve read that was about how weird the reflective properties of aluminium are. That’s oddly specific though.
Otherwise I’d argue that aluminium is a basic metal like tin, and so Jupiter is the closest you can get, as they have some properties in common.
