I've noticed a couple apps / websites where their whole marketing point is being anti-AI but the product they're trying to sell is ai or at least heavily based on AI

Like that one Eco AI thing (if you use tiktok you might know what I'm referring to) where their (often undisclosed) ads made them out to be a more environmentally friendly version of chatgpt when that was literally bullshit
Recently I came across something I thought had a cool concept, but upon further investigation they were using AI to accomplish it. They claimed to be "pro-artist" and for "using AI as a creative tool" and they had been "aiming for reduced carbon emissions" and it was all worded in such a way that effectively made most of it meaningless buzzwords they were legally allowed to slap on to their product to make it sound more appealing to a certain demographic of people
There's also this app I used to use called OCSN and it was advertised as an anti-AI space where you could roleplay as your OCs as if they had social media
But they basically were scanning your post history and making these ""quirky"" little daily overview things (also potentially using your posts to train their AI)
And they wouldn't necessarily deny that it was AI, but they certainly didn't tell you it was genAI unless you went out of your way to contact them
Idk maybe I'm rambling but these kinds of tech bros will go on and on about how tech is the future and we need to embrace it but can't even be fully transparent about what their product is ... like even if you aren't anti ai you have to realize how fucking suspicious that looks
