grace notices that simon likes to rub his neck/chin on him. he’ll come up behind grace and drape his chin over his shoulder, then subtly rub it back and forth a few times. they’re cuddling with grace on top of simon, his head tucked under simon’s chin, and later he notices his hair is sticking up everywhere from simon’s chin rubs.

one day, simon sees grace come out of the shower and grace hears him growl low in his throat and then he’s got an armful of simon. he sputters and giggles as simon gets on his tiptoes and rubs himself all over grace’s face and neck.

“what’s that about?” he asks.

simon turns bright red from ears to neck and ducks away as he mumbles something.

“i didn’t hear you, sweetheart.” grace cups his chin so simon will look at him. “i think it’s cute, i’m just curious!”

simon repeats, “i don’t like it when you don’t… smell like me.”

grace processes that. it’s his turn to blush, because this is such an animalistic, possessive behavior — simon is scent-marking him, claiming him, like a dog marking its territory. then he tilts his head back to bare his neck and says, “well, don’t let me stop you.”

I needed practice drawing water in complicated ways (waves, wet fabric, water on skin, yada yada) and this is what became of it lmao.

Grace who'll lean up against Rocky and kiss the top of his suit and kick his feet against the xenonite and let Rocky lay on his chest DESPITE THE DANGERS. Adrian gets on their asses about it, but those two would crawl into each other's skins if possible, and lying on Grace's chest like an oversized cat is as close as they'll get

when Simon shows up, it's a bit of a slow burn, trauma and all that, but once they get past that, oh boy. attached at the hip. they end up sleeping in the same bed and cling to each other HORRIBLY, like if one of them wakes up in the middle of the night and has to go pee, it inevitably ends with them both waking up

Grace who'll lean up against Simon and nuzzle his face into his back and hold his hand and smile soooo happily and widely, who is so satisfied getting to touch his people and show affection, who doesn't think twice about climbing into Simon's lap and going to sleep right the fuck there, thanks, i needed to be held

Simon asks him if earth humans are normally this clingy and Grace just goes are you complaining? and Simon holds his hand and mumbles no and Rocky is forever so fucking jealous

Some time later, Grace drops something and makes a loud noise.
