overview of noah's projects
long story short, I'm going to try to get better about actually posting my creative work online because I've been historically very bad about that, and this is an overview of the projects I expect to be talking about the most here on tumblr.
game dev
my big game development project is a game called The Tedium and You, which is actually available for wishlist on steam even though I'm pretty behind on development. I call it a "boredom simulator" given the subject matter and general vibe, but it's effectively a first-person, procedurally-generated, not-necessarily-Euclidean walking simulator offering a commentary on objective meaning. I'll often shorten this to TT&Y. here, have a teaser:
I also do a handful of other smaller games; you can check out my itch.io for most of those, or I'll post about them as I make them (I have tiny, weird one called FOR GOD'S SAKE, HELP HIM!, shortened to FGSHH, which is releasing on Steam for free soon).
music
I'm working on a bunch of songs in a genre I call "indie electro-geek". It's more or less just indie pop with some electronic elements, but the through-line on these songs is that they're all about underappreciated astronomical objects of our solar system (or a few are about space probes). I'm hoping to compile all (thirty-ish) of these songs into an album called From Earth, With Love; for now, I've put a handful of demos out on bandcamp, spotify, and youtube. I'll often shorten this to FE,WL. here's a couple of embeds:
worldbuilding (and art, animation, and writing)
so worldbuilding is my primary hobby out of these, but it's the subject of pretty much all my art, animation, and writing projects, so I'm lumping them all together. I have this unorthodox gaslamp fantasy world called Erova and an ensemble cast of twenty-somethings that I've been developing since high school. tbh this will probably be the bulk of what I post here, since I think it's more suited for tumblr's vibe and format than games or music. at some point I'd like to make some more comprehensive projects set in this world and following these characters (book? graphic novel? animations?) but I'd like to hone my art and writing skills a bit first. that said, I do have some art I can share -- here is the ensemble cast lineup I drew up for last Art Fight:
