everyday i see edits of PEOPLE in court glorified because of their looks. a perfect example of this is cameron herrin, if you don't know him by name it's the guy with the blue eyes and mask in court. clavicular is also a perfect example of this. he has promoted bone smashing, extreme violent acts, is associated with far right manospheres and claims to use hard drvgs and promotes them such as methamphetamin3. but if this man was ugly, he would not be put on a pedestal and given a platform how he is now. he would be seen as disgusting and women would steer far away. i don't know how this happened, where people have just started worshipping others because they look good, no matter what a bad person they are. and people like saying 'looks don't matter' when they refer to their type. 9/10 times they are lying. say you are a conventionally attractive person with a good job and a girlfriend. it is clear you don't experience looks based biases, so telling an 'ugly' person that looks don't matter isnt polite or comforting. we also need to look at modelling. an entire profession based on looks. kate moss, was chosen at an airport; why? because of her looks. please stop telling people looks don't matter, they do. whether we like it or not.

feminism is equality. when i see someone whether it be a man or woman in a comment section say 'i'm not a feminist i'm an equalist' etc it genuinely annoys me so much. like FEMINISM is and was always the fight for equality! never trying to put down men, just trying to up women in society. and in my class yesterday (english so ofc it gets political) a boy in my class said 'i don't know why it's called feminism and not something like equalism' like SORRY? it wasn't men fighting for their rights, it was women. so of course it would be called FEMINISM because it was FEMALES fighting for their rights that men have always had. i hate people uneducated about what feminism is. the DICTIONARY DEFINITION OF FEMINISM IS a range of social and political movements and ideologies aimed at defining, establishing, and achieving equal political, economic, personal, and social rights for women. It advocates for gender equality, seeking to eliminate sexism, discrimination, and patriarchal structures that oppress women and girls. NEVER here does it say it puts down men. if you want equal rights YOU my friend are a feminist. theres no inbetween between feminism and misogyny.

telling someone that's going up into highschool "just be yourself" might be the worst thing you can tell them. i get it, everyone deserves to be themselves, but as a person in a british highschool, the people that are ACTUALLY EXPRESSING THEMSELVES get treated like absolute garbage, and theyre frowned upon for actually being themselves. telling them to express their nerdiness and stuff is good for them as a person but expressing it in school is digging their own grave. they'll just get bullied, and they don't deserve that.
