Have confidence in yourself. Practice all the time, research and study the music you love. Play with as many people as you can. Get a good understanding of the music biz so you can get an idea of what your sweat is worth so you donât get ripped off. Never pose in a picture, say anything into a microphone or write anything on paper that you donât believe in. Always be supportive and compassionate to your fellow musician, they have dreams too. There isnât a value that you can put on the loyalty of a supportive fan. Â Listen to what other people have to say before you dismiss them, but always act on your own instinct. Ask yourself if what your doing is spiritually healthy or not. Â Never lie or cheat anyone in this biz because it really sucks, and you will bring that stuff right back on yourself. Â Think of the time in the future when you may be 80 years old and ask yourself if you feel as though you created a body of work that youâre proud of and has some kind of social redeeming value because if all you do is surround yourself with negativity in your life and music, then you will become a self fulfilling prophecy and a miserable parasite on civilization. Â Love music, use sunscreen, and wear a condom. Father Oblivion has spoken.

My Top 8 Albums of 2014
Honestly, it wasn't the best year for my kind of music. Â This year I found myself listening to a lot of older bands or older releases, but there were still a few albums that I really enjoyed that came out from this year. Â
Granted, I don't think these will stand the test of time for me and make more rotations in my playlists, but who's to say? Â Here's a compiled list of what my top picks were for the year.
8. Â Steel Panther - All You Can Eat
I always love me a good Steel Panther album.  They're the Lonely Island of rock and All You Can Eat just had me laughing the entire time. Â
7. Â Behemoth - The Satanist
Behemoth kicked ass on this one. Â It's probably my favorite Behemoth album in general, solely on the fact that I actually enjoyed most of if not all of the songs on the album. Â
6. Â Lovechild - Migraine Music
I know it's an EP, but this one definitely deserves to be on the list as its a top quality album made by my friends who worked their asses off for it. Â Small batch of songs songs that pretty much destroy you. Â
5. Â Architects - Lost Forever // Lost Together
Didn't enjoy it as much as I did Daybreaker, but Lost Forever // Lost Together gave me a similar satisfaction.  I really think Architects are the next big band in the genre.  This album is so intelligent and heavy at the same time: the instruments and lyrics are so well thought out but it hits me right in the gut. Â
4. Â Arch Enemy - War Eternal
I'd been a fan of the Agonist for a long time now, so when Arch Enemy added in Alissa as a vocalist, I knew I had to get my hands on this thing to find out for sure. Â It didn't disappoint it all, it's my favorite Arch Enemy album that's come out in the last 10 years. Â "Avalanche" is a masterpiece. Â
3. Â Attila - Guilty Pleasure
This album proved that Attila trolls hard, and it gave me mad respect for them.  They literally don't care about what their fans or friends think of them.  From start to finish, this record is just straight up fun.  It's hilarious and I can't get enough of it.  Guilty Pleasure reminds me of a new-age Suicide Season.  Bands just take themselves too seriously these days so it's just refreshing that I could put something like this on and just stop caring.Â
2. Slipknot - 5.: The Gray Chapter
Definitely not the best Slipknot album in their catalogue, but this one just sold me on the memories. Â I had low expectations since they were down two members, but they still managed to hit hard. Â "Goodbye"/"Nomadic" go deep. Â
1.  Motionless in White  - Reincarnate
From the moment I put this album on, I couldn't turn it off. Â It blew my mind. Start to finish, it appeals to everything I want to hear on a heavy metal album. Â Itâs inspirational in how you can make whatever music you feel like making, regardless of what the scene is like, what the fans are like, and what your peers say.

Our band put out an album. It's deep. :) Listen/purchase: The Circle EP by FALL RISK
Itâs interesting that itâs actually quite difficult to discourage people from hanging out with me. The way I compliment a girl now is by saying, âI want to throw knives at your vagina.â They go âOh, youâre so cute; youâre so charming.â I say, âNo, Iâd like to set you on fire and snort your ashesâ. âOh, Manson!â they reply.
