1) find out the poshest areas within easy travelling distance to you

2) use Google to find their local charity shops/goodwills/resale shops

3) go forth and get yourself some soaps and candles, babes

(nota bene: this works best within the month or so after major a gift-giving holiday like Christmas, Mothers' Day, or Valentine's Day)

Y'all have no idea how much really good quality shit posh people will just dump at a charity shop without a second thought. I started doing this when I was a brokeass college student in the US and I'm still doing it as a brokeass adult in the UK. You can get bath bombs and soaps and candles for jack shit.

A 2-piece soap set (£2)

A 5-box incense set (£1.50)

A real cute notebook (£1.50)

Total: £9, which is just over $11 USD

I paid less than $12 to be set for the next two months with fancy ass soaps.
