as i’m getting to rebooted in my rewatch, i’ve decided to make up for the “How Ninjago City progressed 100 years in 6 months” plot hole by deciding that all this technology already existed (which isn’t far-fetched to believe, considering the Destiny’s Bounty, the Samurai X suit being made by a teenager, and Zane/the Falcon). one thing i’ve always loved about early ninjago is how much garmadon loves lloyd. he‘s still this clearly evil warlord who wants to take over the world, but he also wants his son to be safe and happy. He knows full well that he‘s evil and cannot “be cured,” but he knows lloyd doesn’t have to follow in his footsteps, and is glad that wu keeps an eye on him, even though they are constantly at odds
