as i’m getting to rebooted in my rewatch, i’ve decided to make up for the “How Ninjago City progressed 100 years in 6 months” plot hole by deciding that all this technology already existed (which isn’t far-fetched to believe, considering the Destiny’s Bounty, the Samurai X suit being made by a teenager, and Zane/the Falcon). Cyrus Borg had already been working on this kind of technology for years, and Pixal was well in development by S1. He just didn’t have the resources or money to make it wide-spread
the city was very “stuck in its ways,” and the combination destruction of the Devourer and the Overlord just allowed it to be ushered into mainstream use
