he makes sure you have good dreams every night, as such hes always watching over you (that is, whether youre sleeping or not. after all, who knows when you will take a nap..! he knows. he doesnt need to keep watch, and yet.)

if hes there to protect you from an ill intended yokai, make sure you dont look his way for just a minute! though if you do end up looking, be prepared to have him visiting you to help with the oncoming nightmares featuring the gruesome sight of willmesh ending whatever entity came too close to you that night..! dont feel that bad, that yokais fate was already sealed after the mere thought of hurting you. after all, he wont have mercy on those who have bad intentions with you. safe to say those yokais are. out of comission. forever (he will feel embarassed, but knowing you now have his face seared into your memories does make him feel. something)

riddle

despite being one of the youngest, he isnt one to be underestimated, he is a dormleader after all

his prowess in magic and good grades means he can use those in his favor, by helping you study of course. as such, he can be quite strict with your schedule. most of your time is taken by him, either in study dates meetings or tea parties (where everyone avoids you, which only makes you stay close to riddle as he is a familiar figure to you). still, quite suffocating to have him hovering over your shoulder at all times

as more and more people start to take a liking to you, hes prone to being in a bad mood (he was here first..!) to make matters worse, he cant really do much directly against the others. what he can do is lure you away with promises of sweets and playing with the animals in his dorm. he can... even do your work..! i mean, help you with your work (but if you ask nicely and praise him well.. then maybe... just, promise to keep your eyes on him, ok? or else, he doesnt want to think what he could do)

leona

much like a lion, he is quite territorial and likes to mark you in his own ways so others steer clear

from scenting, giving actual pieces of clothing from his closet (which obviously has his scent in them) to even patrolling around areas he knows youre most likely to be around (if he does see someone try to approach you he might growl at them) no he isnt stalking you, he just happened to be there when you were too, definitely just a coincidence (even if that ends up happening more times than you can keep count)

this time around, he will definitely be the first one and steal you away, he wont play around. whatever the others try to do against him, hes already one step ahead. much like how he plays chess, he can see the others moves and plans accordingly, from evading chores and whisking you away from the others to ruining whatever romantic moments you could have with anyone that isnt him

azul

he too is very troublesome, both for you and others. having the means and being resourceful makes him quite annoying

his determination and need for validation makes him do many things for you, he makes time in his schedule (it doesnt matter if he had a meeting, youre here..! to see him..!) and doesnt let you pay whenever you go to the mostro lounge (that way youll spend more time with him! he can even cook something that isnt in the menu for you!) although, he can be a bit too eager for praise from you, you could even say hes desperate for it (youre pretty sure if he could, hed cling to you with all of his arms in his mer form and even have the suctions glued to you)

oh my, is riddles way of teaching far too demanding for you? worry not, hes here to help! leona is much too frustating to deal with? fret not! for you, the price is only spending some time with him (you can even use that time you now have youd otherwise waste with azul! he will help you free of charge..!) and he shall be there for you, you poor soul

mightve installed a gps tracker in one or two items of yours (most probably one you have in your person at any given time) for your safety of course! this school is full of stupid teenagers who can use magic and have a way bigger ego than they should have so who knows what they can do..!

who even thinks of training like this to begin with?

trying to take control of the situation, you battle for dominance, though the lack of air makes itself more noticeable as your mind gets hazy, making your movements sloppy, which klark easily wins against

before parting ways, he teases you by soflty biting your lower lip, then gently sucking. as he finally detaches from you, a string of saliva still connects the two of you. that soon breaks once he moves near your ear

he whispers before blowing faintly right in your ear, delighting himself in your reactions and the sound you unwillingly made just now

taking your chin in his hand, he tilts your head in his direction

starting off, i took inspiration from his chivalry code (trust) and, as he is shadowritt, made him lose that trust, or more like that broke after seeing how powerless they are, not being able to stop your death. besides that, the phrase 'Through good times and bad, I'll always be by your side' is part of what he says in his introduction thingy ("If you stumble, it's always OK to stop and catch your breath. Through good times and bad, I'll always be by your side." which you can hear in the wiki too!)

for extra thoughts 1, we actually have a plot reason for his knot being untied and why, even though it was untied it still stays or whatever. that ribbon being the red string thingy and all. because shadow hallritt is a different entity, he has his own string apart from hallritt (which ended up being the one tied closest to you. somehow. in a way i wont explain) and why he asks that you tie it once more on him

on the extra thoughts 2 i ended up twisting the lyrics from both 'never cred' and 'moment horizon' (modoru nara doko wo omou - 'if you were to go back, where do you think of' or something along those lines, im not a translator so thats the best i can do) ('If my future holds only wandering in desolate solitude, if I can't go back'. and then i threw him in the torture chamber.). i was also going to make him wander around and think a lot while trying to find you but i didnt like that and was not in the mood to write that. hopefully it still has that feeling..? (about louter.. hm. not feeling it right now so i wont explain further either lol. besides, i think all the information is there already)

lastly, extra thoughts 3, i tried somewhat translating shadowritts title thing but i think i got it wrong and just. didnt bother to look too deep into it. lol. so please dont take that one too seriously. also to show the relationship between shadowritt and the others (in short. not very good right now) (and because i like collars. i can have something for me once in a while. i like to indulge myself which is why i wrote that to begin with)

the beginning where he tries to get his shit together is a part of 'rare' ('I'm not an easygoing adult' and 'I should want to act calm and composed') and although it is rimicha that sings, some parts felt kind of hallritt/shadowritt ('The me who loses sight of even his "likeness" in the palm of his hand is Rare' and 'I wanted to burn for something, I've burnt myself out' when using his life force to save you) plus the last lines hallritt sings ('Starve, this immature youth's on a Rampage' and 'Stuffed, unleash my shred of talent' related to him being able to change forms as a yokai. last one but 'Please, please accept all of me, this Specialty' too for him offering the string)

the parts where he spirals on (why why and all that) are from 'your melody' (he says it around 6 times in the music lol). theres also the being connected part ('I want to be connected with the same rhythm') in the red string. along with 'your melody', him hearing your voice/your heartbeat is also a node to ever red ('Listen to the soft, sweet whispers and don't get dismayed' from your melody) ('Words of yearning, of longing, of wanting to hear your voice. Memories of weakness remain unspoken' from hallritts solo in 'ever red')

regarding his changing form once more, theres more in '& I WILL' (I'm not the self I envisioned on that day, and yet will you tell me I'm fine as I am?) with him being somewhat self concious about turning into a nekoshou. and of course always being with you. theres also 'It's possible I may lose it all in the end, so why did I gain so many more treasures?' which is very on the nose.. the entire ending of that song actually is. really on character for this au. like. strangely so. being a bit late, the future slipping and getting scared but unwiling to give up. and all the questions at the end showing how hes still not as fine as he 'pretends' to be around you

the scene where youre crying and hes so desperate to make it stop is from 'bouquet of wishes' (With those tears like a gift My mind becomes blurred Dearest one, always, gently, please, please Don’t cry!) along with the ending (him offering you his red string -> 'It’s a symbol of love' of his love, to be more precise)

things related to the sun and all, while linked to 'ever red' ('the sun shines down as if to show me the path i must take') are also connected to both hallritt/shadow hallritts titles ('A bright sun lighting the path to the future' and shadowritts is something like the shadow cast by the sun something something i dont remember and wont bother to check right now so dont use me as a reference here). final note here..! the last line is what hallritt says in 'ever red' (also what shadow hallritt says according to the wiki..!) but that also has another meaning here. when using his magic to bring you back, he ended up. connected. to you, in a sense, with the red string and all that. no i wont elaborate any more than this (for now at least)

no actual louter this time around but little mentions here and there (this is a shadow hallritt/hallritt post ok. louters time will come later if at all. he has too much screen time in this blog already. courtesy of a certain someone) but he does have a somewhat important role here, more on that in another post because. just. look at the lenght of this post

sorry for taking so long with posting things here again guys (lost track of time reading instead of writing... though this post was only possible through reading some yan stuff so yay..? plus you already know but that song ended me. i was not sane at all here) also ive been seriously thinking about doing something like twstedforyou and have you on fragaria world after your death (totally not because i want to see 4 hallritts hahahahahah. no.... the greed is immesurable... this is the type of greed they talk about in the bible) but also i mean why not you know? one has to do things for oneself from time to time

i honestly have a really hard with the 'you die' part and how thats going to go about. plus the timelines.... and the ominous, looming meeting between all hallritts since i tend to write as i go (or when inspiration strikes basically when new content drops) but if anyone wants to ask anything about yokai au im very open (dont worry about the reqs.. hah.) because im in the zone right now and need to use it up as much as i can before all my brain power dissolves (tldr you can send requests for yokau au. i will probably answer if i can write something for it. else it will stay there for a while. very long while...)

if by the time i post this there still isnt the english version on the wiki. i can try to do something about it.. but then again i dont know jp enough for translations. one thing is understanding it by vibes and my brain doing the work unconsciouly, the other is to understand both languages and make it so the meaning isnt lost but still reads smoothly

what does his being even exist for? why are they still here if youre gone? nothing in life matters if his reason of living disappears, if you disappear

no. no, no, no. hallritt wont let that be the end. as your most trusted yokai, he cant let that happen. he cant falter right now, even if hes seeing the life spilling from your eyes (he cant. he cant think, cant stay calm, no. your life is at stake. he cant lose you)

fate be damned, he wont stand by and do nothing as your soul continues to break. regardless of any suffering he has to endure, if theres a single chance of being able to guide you once more to be together again, theres nothing else he wishes for

ever since your first meeting he swore to you

he doesnt care as his body changes and his magic goes haywire, nor how he feels his life force getting drained (it isnt like he would want to live a life without you with him). all hallritt needs is to be by your side once more. and if he has to go against life itself then so be it

youre still too far from him, he wont reach you like this. he needs something to bound you to him, something connected to him. right now, theres only one thing he can do

(ah, his ribbon is coming undone)

that hurts, it hurts so much, but not more than seeing you look so scared. dont worry, hes going to save you, please trust him one more time. hes so close to getting through to you until his energy collapses and everything turns black

for a split second all of his senses become numb and he is consumed by his thoughts. he feels lost, nothing makes sense, was he not strong enough? where is he? and more importantly, where are you? are you safe? just why? why did this happen? why you of all people?

why why why--

then, just for a moment, he can feel you, your presence

though faint, he can hear you, your heart beating slowly but surely, your breathing. you, it is you. he cant make out the exact words but youre trying to say something to him

his relief is short-lived as he finally makes you out, his vision giving way to your tears running down your face, hand extended, trying to reach him. even though he doesnt understand whats happening, all his blurry mind can do is mirror you, with a desperation he cant control, hand as far as can be and yet--

Dearest one, please Don’t cry!

as soon as he opens his eyes, hes back at your place, and yet the air feels wrong, all stuffy and stagnant

the many familiar allarmed voices close by makes hallritt(?) search in that direction. all that havoc only makes him more hopeless, maybe he couldnt save you, maybe that was all a dream

no, hes seeing you, alive and well (as well as you can be after fainting shortly). he sees you be smothered by all those yokais and doesnt waste a second in coming forth, a hurry in his steps he cant hold back

ah, his form has changed so maybe you wont recognize him. still, he cant help reacting like this, wanting to be by your side. however, the horde of yokai looking at him with both confusion and suspicion make a wall between you two. that familiar twinkle in your eyes as you look at him gives him all the information he needs to know

his heart yearns for you

he comes closer. despite your many familiars protests, you let him come near and they listen to you, albeit unwilling (your wish is their command after all). hallritt(?) doesnt waste a second as he lowers himself, kneeling before you

in his hands he presents to you once more the red string that binds you two together

Because I know we'll always feel the same

(kind of an explanation..? more info) essentially, a yokai may end up as their 'seed/shadow form' after losing their master, often losing their senses and most rationality. it is highly likely they end up hating this world for making you suffer and die, and as such try to destroy it, that or theyll try to cope with their own ways (hopefully your other familiars are sane and strong enough to stop those who dont want anything to do with this world anymore..! if not, well. someone will have to deal with them). though that might not be as necessary, seeing as although they gain a considerable amount of strength and magic, their life force dwindles until they end up... disappearing

with your death, your familiars are unstable enough for some of them (hallritt) to go through changes such as shadow hallritt (not a good sign..! though, with the situation at hand, that was the only way they could save the 'you' they love so much, so please forgive them for doing this without your permission!)

in hallritts case, despite being a young and unexperienced nekomata (somewhat of a contradiction i know) he bypassed the necessary conditions when turning into shadow hallritt and thus became a nekoshou (since he was fairly young and had a lot of potential, all of his life force ended up being used in the process though. he doesnt regret it one bit, after all, hes back together with you, no?). he concentrated all of his power into 'guiding you to them' again, however by that time, your soul was much too fragmented for a full restoration. fret not, as he bounded himself to you so intrinsically he kind of lives within you. or something... (do you see what i did there haha. shadow hallritt is inside you). he ended up as an entirely different entity separate from hallritt, somehow. i havent actually thought much about that part (prone to changes..!)

extra thoughts 1 - 'when guiding you back to them': you were so far away from shadow hallritt he ended up using his ribbon as a 'rope' of some sort, undoing your knot to make the 'string' longer enough to reach you (which you grabbed without a second thought. that in turn only made shadow hallritt more desperate to save you). the ribbon is connected to the both of you after all, both emotional and now physically

extra thoughts 2 - 'the past he cant return to': shadow hallritt has taken it upon him to prevent the future he came from of happening by all means necessary. by that logic, he ended up stranded in the 'past' and doesnt have a place to go back to (as the 'berserk louter' from his timeline also used all of his life force, this timelines louter doesnt have the necessary magic to return him not like hed want to neither will he go on a frenzy any time soon). shadow hallritt here was essentially the light at the end of the tunnel for you, burning with an intensity so bright he looked like a melting sun (hah)

extra thoughts 3 - 'the untied shadow casted by the sun': although hes not used to this new form, shadow hallritt tends to connect himself to you at all times (stemming from his fear of losing you again). you also no longer have a need for a gps! he can be your guide dog, just put a collar in him or else he will bite your other pets..! (of course you dont need to worry, hed follow you anywhere you go regardless of having or not a collar, thats, more for your other familiars safety)

authors note: i moved the actual explanations of my references to another post because it got. way too long. at that point it deserved to be its own post, try to find some if you want..! do know that theres, quite an amount..!

some other explanations (not linked to the refs): you were crying because you thought he died (or maybe because you almost died!??)

something happened outside with your other familiars as you were being saved by hallritt/shadow hallritt (namely a certain time related magic user. yeah... i know thats for his normal form and not yokai au but like. im the one writing so whatever)

the crossed out question is because shadowritt is starting to doubt himself (losing trust. his chivalry) and while not quite aware of his changes he knows something happened to him (also later on he thinks if this new form is to your tastes)

note how he said 'back at your place' instead of home (because to him, home is where you are)

also, as soon as he sees you with the (unworthy, unreliable) rest of your familiars he rushes in because he cant trust them with you (neither himself actually. but thats for another day)

the 'familiar twinkle' in your eyes that shadowritt sees is somewhat connected to what your other familliars did back on the other timeline (and your memories being a mess.. fragmented memories. lol) and he knows about that by (once more, i know) being connected to you. also the chaos from your other familiars (before shadowritt finds you) is because you kind of 'passed out'/fell or something (yes, related to everything here. they all saved you one way or another)

his 'sacrifice' (regarding the ribbon) made him feel so many negative emotions along with the whole 'you died' that it ended up being the last straw he could handle, making him transform into his new form (nekoshou)

anyways, what do we think about this plot? i know reqs are closed but well. i can always make exceptions for this yokai au... (alo the extra thoughts 3 was really just for fun lol. to end on a lighter note)
