My cat does not have cancer!!!!!

They think she has a parasite, likely lungworm. We can treat it with medication.

it's not an inherent trait of heated rivalry fans or rpf fic readers or WHATEVER to be an entitled weirdo. the people saying batshit stuff about hudson and his gf rn are just a relatively small number very loud, very mean-spirited creeps who get their kicks from cyberbullying. and they're misogynistic losers too.

They rang this morning to say she could come home for the weekend with us (yay). She’s been eating a bit and even came for a cuddle. Test results should come in on Monday or Tuesday.

It’s honestly… not looking good. It is possible that she has the big C. We won’t know for sure until after the results come in, but we’ve already checked off a bunch of likely things it could be and this is the next one.

I cried so much last night I gave myself a headache and my eyes were like big red golf balls. I’m not sure how I’m gonna handle it if we have to put her to sleep. She’s only ten, like I was expecting at least another 5 years with her. Maybe another ten!!!

we took her to the vet on wednesday and they did a physical check and said she seemed fine but had a slight fever. they did a blood test and said her potassium was slightly low but still within normal range, and could be explained by being dehydrated (she usually has wet food, so isn't getting her normal level of hydration.)

they gave her an anti-inflammatory injection and said it might resolve. but it didn't! so we took her back this afternoon and they said they're gonna have to anaesthetise her to look in her throat, and may need to send her to a different practice so they can get a scope to check further down her throat for furballs or obstructions. but if there isn't anything, they'll have to do some imaging and see if there's something going on in her abdomen.

and ugh!!!!! my poor baby. she was totally fine up until a few days ago and now she's poorly and needing all this treatment. and i am astounded by how expensive the vet bills are, it's insane. we're already up to £600 just for 2 appts, 1 injection, and the first throat check.
