lowkey update after a few days, and just wanted to share this edit I found and cheered me up in a middle of cramming a quiz review lol. It perfectly captured the accuracy of the drama to the source material.

Isaac was such a beautiful character. He is not as perfect as many of his fans bring him up to be, but over the last few chapters he was alive, it was really clear how complementary he and Iana were, and how much they love one another.

He freakin threw away his life and his dreams for her, man... She was willing to be hated by the world for his sake. Their ending fundamentally shifted the tone of the series, and her completely. His death served as a warning for Iana's past actions of changing the plot which paved way for awesome angst including with Sol and Yomi - the two frontrunners, as well.

Now, aside from the fact that we have freakin Isaac Bluestar, Chaneu being the most relevant in her thoughts as the "NPC who loves her who who she is" made me sad... she didn't even think of Isaac. The "NPC" who loved her so much, and the one we are the most sure she romantically loved back.

I hate it when people hate on Sol for simply looking like he'd be endgame (even if he's more likely not this time lol) just because Isaac died. Isaac died for a wonderful narrative purpose. It's just so heartbreaking that the narrative reason and impact he could have had are not being utilized as much anymore. HE IS SUPPOSED TO HAUNT THE NARRATIVE!! But now, he's just a pixel in the recent art unless he's no longer there at all.

I get that this is a harem, and all of the guys are getting their respective screentime, but tbh... when he died and all that angst with her having to follow through the plot she previously broke was such an interesting concept.

Maybe it's just been going on a lot lately with little answers. Iana being free from that burden of being a villainess by Yomi is beautiful, but it didn't serve as a proper closure to Isaac's ending just yet. I hope we'll soon get to the point tbh... Like, arghhh this panel is so good. Isaac's death forced her to be a villain... forty chapters later, she vowed to do it on her own. Saving the people she loved actively, instead of passively.

Like, I get that we have our own interpretations of a character, and fanfic is free, so we could write whatever we want no matter how imperfect it is. SH itself is a crack (and let's be honest, canonically impossible) ship. Still, that's why I called it a pet peeve which by definition is a a minor habit, action, or thing that deeply annoys or irritates you personally, even if it does not bother other people.

Maybe as a Sakura and NS fan, my view and interpretation of her and the pairing are not aligned to some people especially whose bias is towards another character. She canonically may have really love Sasuke whether we accept it or not, and the argument wasn't if that pairing is toxic or not. I just can't imagine her be that antagonizing if Sasuke did like someone else, particularly to someone she sees as a friend. Worse is if it drags NaruSaku with it bc no way they'd get together if she doesn't wholly love Naruto. As we already know, the guy wants her to be happy sm even if it's not with him, so he's not allowing her to settle for him unless she is being true to herself 100% and voluntarily, happily chooses him. She too loves him very much whether you argue platonic or romantic, and she sees his worth so much that no way he'll just be a simple guy she'd "settle for"; heck, I'd argue that she buried any idea of her and him in canon and gaslit both of themselves to be out of rivalry because she thinks that he deserves better (which to her, is w Hinata).

NaruSaku is my OTP, but I do brace myself when I'm reading a fic not centered on them for the potential of them not being the supporting pair (same with SH when I'm reading an NS fic). It's just a bonus if it does feature both of them. It's just a pet peeve of mine when NS and Sakura are portrayed toxic when they are not😭

I always thought they were cousins before finding out they were both voiced by Tsubasa Yonaga lmao. Koyuki's two years older than Manami. My personal headcanon was Koyuki getting his summer haircut/glow-up in Hakone bc his family had traditions in visiting every summer. That's how Makishima and Onoda were able to appear in Rival Sengen as the Inter High was in Hakone that time.
