ngl im not a fan of the newly releases drag path because it is a lot more explicit on there being someone (in this case an embodiment of hope/recovery) following the narrator.
in the drag path available exclusively, it was uncertain if this hope ever did arrive for the narrator and when the song hit its crescendo it felt like a wailing, or giving up under the throes of desperation (see. repetition of "can you", intensity of the way "i dug my" lines is sung). it leaves the end up to complete interpretation whether hope did arrive or if the narrator simply found a way to cope by themselves : the last "can you find me" as a melancholic recalling of his previous lament and the subsequent "you found me" potentially his way of admitting his self directed conquest or an admission that hope did arrive - either way it can be up to the listener.
when associating drag path with themes of mental health, adversity, life, the uncertainty factor hits harder because it is rarely often we realise or accept hope during these situations. drag path is then the narrators last ditch effort to save himself.

This comic isn't perfect. I started it back in October 2023, and every time I picked up my pen, I wept.
I bring this to you today, on 9/11, in hopes that you reflect on this day a little differently than how most Americans would. Let it move you to continue to boycott, protest and challenge your family, friends and colleagues. You have a bigger impact than you would believe.

I'd like to bring to attention the fact that the figures depicted above are a gross undercount of the actual number of deaths. I scoured the internet high and low to source my findings and not a single one could break down the devastation that befell an individual ethnicity. Instead, they lumped a bunch of ethnicities together, provided a general timeline, and called it a day, reinforcing the sheer scale of dehumanization propagated in the west. The only consistency between all the articles I looked up was the 4.5 to 4.7 million figure I've included above, and even then, they were all published by western media news outlets... the very same that have been so unreliable and complicit in the genocide of Palestinians today. So I have to take everything they say with a grain of salt.
We are not just numbers.
All of us have ambitions and desires and lives worth living.
With that said, this is your friendly reminder to:

And if you or someone you know sees or experiences a hate crime and can afford it, SUE. This is a more effective use of your money than most realise. The reason zionists act with impunity is because of the normalization of white supremacy and oppression of ethnic minorities. Challenging that in any capacity tells them that there are consequences to their actions and makes them think twice before engaging in hate crimes and helps raise all of us up against the systems currently in place that let them get away with it.
If you can't donate or spend any money, you can:
Do your daily clicks.
Boycott targeted companies on the BDS list (if you're like me and you don't want a single dollar to go towards anything supporting Israel right now, you can use Bdnaash to double check what products are okay to buy, but the BDS list is sufficient as it is a strategic attack and proven very effective thus far)
Flood your representatives emails and voicemails with how you won't be voting for them unless their politics align with an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Attend a protest, be LOUD.
Challenge your circle of friends, family and colleagues with conversations about Palestine. (THIS IS THE MOST UNDERRATED AND MOST EFFECTIVE THING YOU CAN DO)
and if you're really up to, be disruptive in any capacity that you can think of towards major corporations benefiting from this onslaught. (i.e. halting military manufacturers from production + shipments, sticking boycott stickers on products at your market etc)
And finally, if your country wasn't mentioned in the above excerpt, it was no deliberate omission on my part and I encourage you to come forward and tell your story about the suffering of your people so that this may be a learning opportunity for everyone.

Are Aot fancasts still a thing? No clue. But I was severely bored and so here we are. Keep in mind that these are JUST opinions of mine so donāt take it seriously as some people tend to. I know none of these people look exactly like the characters but this is just what I feel so respect and all, oh well though, if you donāt not my problem.

Vincent Kartheiser ā Eren (This makes the most sense to me if Iām being honest, Iāve seen many say this and I wholeheartedly agree, he has that feminine beauty that S4 or well 18 year old eren radiates when they got to Marley for the first time. Also Eren kinda has a round but sharp face much like how Vincent has. Personally I was getting sick of People fancast Eren as Asian when he really isnāt, heās Eldian/German. Heās a white man guys.)
Kiko Mizuhara ā Mikasa (She played her in the live action and to me I canāt see anyone else playing Mikasa due to that fact. Even though that movie was horrible, she captured Mikasaās personality really well imo and while this is only a fancast much like the others so no one is really going to ever capture the characters, I think itās important to honor the fact that Mikasa is Half-white (Eldian/German) and Half-Japanese (Hizuru). I know thereās a lot more faces out there that could work for Mikasa as well but Iām personally biased and this is just what I see, but maybe if weāre talking pixie cut Mikasa then Sonoya Mizuno could work as well even though sheās not mixed, or maybe even Tao Tsuchiya playing Usagi in Alice in Borderland could work as well!!)
Johan Widerberg ā Armin (S4 armin anyone?? I had two other Fancast for Armin, obviously Lou Wegner in that cosplay, or maybe Jonathan Brandis in Ladybugs when he had the bob, but then I realized that Johan just looks much older than those two in a way, I donāt know how, but I think it works for me, also the last image has him with a slick back or whatever that hairstyle is and that really is just Armin during the epilogue.)
Brad Renfro ā Jean (I see some fancast him as a young Ethan Hawke and while I do like that I think Brad captures jeanās youth much more than Ethan Hawke would, also the hair and the beard that Jean has going is kinda similar to what Brad had in his 90s/early 2000s era.)
Aron Piper ā Connie (Dude thatās literally connie. And his hairline kinda matches connieās. Also ever since A Slap On Titan, I canāt get the idea of Latino Connie out of my head which I know is stupid but Aron is Spanish-Germanā¦ so it works. Sue me.)
Mary Elizabeth Winstead ā Sasha (it was hard finding someone for her, but I think she might work for Sasha. In this case I was going based of brown hair a pony tail unlike some of the others, but I think Mary could work as well, still unsure about this one though.)
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau ā Reiner (This is me being severly Game of Thrones biased but I think the younger him has a potential to look like Reiner, and if youāve seen him as Jaime Lannister during Jaimeās redemption arc, he would 100% kill the whole tortured aspect of Reinerās character.)
Edward Holcraft ā Erwin (His Nose. I am so sick and tired of the Chris Evans fancast, pls his nose. Edward in this particular film is giving Erwin, the hair, the cheekbones, the jawline, did I mention the nose??? Thatās Erwin.)
Alba Flores ā Hange (Their Nose!!! I will not accept any other ideas about who should play Hange, I know the popular casting was Jenny Slate but I personally do not see it, I donāt think it works anymore, and While jenny has the nose (which I think is important for many aot characters so we donāt have same Face syndrome), I also think that Hange should look a bit androgynous and Alba, IN MY OPINION, Alba kinda has the face shape for it.)
Freddy Carter ā Levi (Iām sorry but I think levi should look his age or well closer to his age, 30-40, just like Freddy and was much a better choice than Dane Deehan. I also think Freddyās brows gives a whole different effect to his gaze. Which makes it a bit menacing, or intimidating. Which is what levi has too. I know Dane playing Valerian was the āonlyā acceptable choice for Levi but I think Freddy could work as well.)
i think we should stop calling them baby names so people remember theyāre not just naming a baby but also a future twenty seven year old with a resume

i think the dan and phil community is the way they are because the boys' branding were always about being unapologetically themselves even it comes at the risk of embarassing yourself or criticism from others. its not that d&p magically turned people gay but if you have fostered a welcoming environment people who need it most will be the ones that turned up so thank you dan and phil for being so unanbashedly themselves that theyve taught a whole generation how to comfortably exist and be yourself too
