Months of being a CR after DLRCP.
Its been about two months since I was a Spring DLRCP and Now I am also a bookie. AKA I have a second attraction and that is Storybook Land. I have only had a couple of shifts there but I really do like it and its a new adventure to add to my collection.
I now live in a small apartment 2b 2ba with other Ex-DLRCP of my program. We live across the way of a couple more dlrcp’s of spring. We kind of invaded this apartment complex truly. Some of the other Fantasyland Kids that stayed have been cross-trained. The bookies have been trained into classics as well.Â
We get baby small four hour shifts, which is completely expected with a lose of our sonority. We got from hero to zero within weeks on hours. Its sad other departments got to keep sonority but we are treated like new hires.
It’s different as a cr as we struggle a bit but we will get there. I am looking into entertainment auditions at the end of the month. I will keep you very updated if that works out for me. I am auditioning for the Electric Parade. <3

Final Thoughts. Final Blog.
Final Thoughts Time already. Its been a crazy half of a year. The program has its up’s and downs. Where do I start?
UPS:
Lets start with the positive, Its always better right? I got to pick my roommates and we had a decent time together. Any roommate situation has ups and downs. This is one the first it was mostly ups verse’s downs. I am very thankful for that. My job was a lot different and a lot better then QSR cashier for sure. I had hot water most of the program this time, comparing to my last round. I have meet irreplaceable people during this program. I have the roommates that I know I will adore in my next apartment. We are already like the ‘friends’ group as I see it. I have changed a lot for the better, although I have been very anxious lately, I am still a better person. I have learned to be much more optimistic, and caring. I have learned to be more attentive to my job as guest as well. I am starting to learn how to balance a Disney job and a Starbucks job. I have also meet an amazing man in my life who has taught me what a strong person is. He has been pushed around and pulled down and he is still so much stronger then anyone I know encountered. I am scared to start my new life as a cr here but I am also very willing to learn how to.
DOWNS:
The big downs, naturally, is missing home. I have both my family and friends that I have learned to trust back at home and it’s heart breaking. I love Arizona so much and I really didn’t understand that until I left. The situation I was in prior to leaving just made me want to leave az because life was hard with my living space. But I miss what az means to me and the friends. I don’t get to cosplay much anymore because Cali is very pricey. I don’t see as many con’s because I haven’t found a cosplay community here yet. I adore my friends, and the picture of the ones above have helped me though a rough patch of my life and I miss them dearly. The program itself had some major down times such as lack of funds. As much money as the housing takes from you, unless you have a credit card (which i don’t) it’s almost impossible to make it though. It’s a rough week by week life. The problem with attractions is the whole safety role bit, which I get you have heavy machines and peoples life’s in your hands, but being paid minimum wage for that? That’s really painful. Its not the best job, it has perks, but its also not the worst either.
Goodbye 2016 DLRCP Spring! It’s been a trip, up’s and down’s but its over now. I am out of Carnegie Plaza and sitting homeless (for now) typing away. Goodbye DLRCP I hope programs are good for others, I hope struggles are less, and I hope you experiences better than we did. <3
Rating Both of My Programs.
Hello friends. I am here just to contrast and compare both programs I have done 2011 to 2016. I will state everything I feel about each category and then I will put the rating 1-10 that I would give each category.
Pre-Program:
2011: We had a package send to us before the program that was really cool because it had everything we need right there and there was a special touch in it because it made you more excited to get that mail. It had everything in a nice envelope. I am sure if stuff went missing that was a whole other battlefield you would have had to go though. I am sure if that got lost in the mail, it became a pain but I didn’t have any of that.Â
RATING: 9 (I liked the clean nice package we got)
2016: We had everything digitally done, which this day in age is completely expected. I was fine for the most part as long as you checked our email constantly. It got a little more intense when were about to move, about a week out. Sadly the program with that is people had already started to travel from out of state driving here and couldn't print of get half the paperwork they needed because it was sent after they had left. Again, I didn't have to deal with that but I had to deal with I had missing paperwork because I didn’t get that email at all, so that was a bummer. Also we only got a little paper saying congratulations in the mail.
RATING: 7 (Digital is good, but sending stuff late doesn’t help anyone)
Arrival:
2011: Coming in for housing was really nice and the set up to get all paperwork done was on the balcony area, which was great. Parents couldn’t come with us, but that is the same for both programs. It seemed nice and smooth. One thing we had different was three weeks of arrivals which was both cool and strange. It allowed you to be able to come later if something back at home didn’t fit with an arrival time, but it was strange to get a new roomie for three weeks each week. That was strange to have to learn about a new person each week for the first month. It wasn’t bad just a lot to deal with.
RATING: 8
2016: What was done differently was we did all our move in paperwork at the Museo building which was fine and smooth for the most part. I had lost a piece of paperwork, (AKA didn't get the email) so I was pulled out of line to have to fill that all in. I had already got to pick and know my roommates due to social media, which help so much this program because we were able to chat before hand. We all arrived the same day just different times which helped a lot because we all go to know another from day one not over a three week span.
RATING: 8
Housing:
2011: Housing had is good and its bad’s. As always I hated inspections because they are invasive and annoying. We had one roommate that would wait till we leave and then somehow hurricane our house so we would fail. Once we dealt with her then we were able to pass inspections and they were not hard to pass at all. Just needed to be tidy and shiny. Housing was good and didn’t both you much. The big crappy part was half the program we didn’t have hot water on our side of the building on many days.
RATING: 8 (Good but I like warm water.)
2016: Housing has its good and mostly bad’s this time around. Inspections are hardcore this time around and the first like 4 we managed to fail and we didn’t get logically reasons why we were failing so bad. I even had my family on skype of whatever and showed them this is cleaner then I had ever been and we failed. Inspections are annoying and WAY to hardcore. They do give you information though text and keep you well informed which is great. Repair guys this time was very good, def when our dryer exploded. They got on top of it so fast. When you have a package they annoy the crap out of you until you come get it. Regardless if your work hours match up with their office hours. They tend to leave before office says its closed which is really annoying when you try and get that package they bugged you about but you happen to only get home about 30 min before they are SUPPOSE to close and they are ALREADY closed. I was not a fan of housing at all this time around. The ones in housing towards the end are okay but at the beginning they were not kind at all. We also didn’t have the same housing people the entire program at all, which is annoying too.
RATING: 4 (Not kind, and overbearing)
Parking at Housing:
2011: I was in Car Park 4 both programs. This program it was annoying that it was far away and such but we had parking because the hospital group wasn’t there yet and it made it easier. I had no problem, Just a bit far.
RATING: 9 (Far but Fine)
2016: I was back in Park 4. There isn’t ever parking unless you are coming home early or really late. Sometimes I have been turned away saying I couldn’t park there because its full and had to many rounds of arguing to park in my own structure. As of recent they got rid of the scan in to get in there so everyone and their mom could park in there and made it EVEN HARDER. Recently we have been moved to car park 2 for construction so now we are way farther and forced to walk home. Yes we have security that can walk us, but after my roommate being hit on and creeped on by on of them I wouldn’t trust them as far as I can throw them.
RATING: 2 (Far, Farther, and No Parking)
Job:
2011: I was DCA QSBF and that job was very very terrible for me because I was suck on the registrars most of the time and Long shifts. Luckily I had a money the do things during the program because I have a lot hours always. I Had people in our area treat us like crap because we are dcp’s and we ‘steal’ all the hours. I couldn’t stand how rude most people were to the dcps.
RATING: 6 (Rude Cast Members)
2016: I an now DL Attractions in Fantasyland which is a WAYYYY better fit for me. I really do enjoy where I am at. I think I succeed better. We don’t get many hours which kills us trying to pay rent and we are paid less then most of the cps being apart of attractions, which sucks a lot. I enjoy where I am here but I just wish the hours didn't suck.
RATING: 7 (Good Job, Bad Hours)
Parking at Work:
2011: We had to park in K lot which is the only parking at the time. You have to leave stupid easily park here and It was a pain the butt but you honestly got extremely us to it very fast. It got very full and busy on huge events which mass amount of redirects.
RATING: 7 (Only one)
2016: We got to park in H lot being part of Fantasyland which is a new lot to me compared to last time. I was really amazing. One bus and you are there and I don’t have to leave so early. The only downfall is closing and you have to wait sometimes for 20 min for any bus. That’s stupid painful.
RATING: 8 (Easier to get to)
Program Events:
2011: We got to do amazing things such as Waltz Apartment, Haunted Mansion, Tour of Indie, Tower of Terror/Space Mountain with lights off, We got to see a filming of Rules of Engagement and we got to go on the price is right. We got to do the Dream Suite as well. It was amazing. All amazing and outstanding events. The only issue was trying to get into them. They would randomly just open it up for you to get into and not really tell you so there was many events I missed out on.Â
RATING: 8 (Amazing events, hard to get into)
2016: We were able to tour Waltz Apartment, Haunted Mansion, Soarin’ backstage, Space with Lights on, Tour of weddings, Downtown LA day and some other small stuff. Was it remotely as cool events as my old program, not a bit, at all. I was so much more excited to having to do the Dream Suite and I waiting so long this program to see that event and we didn’t. Some of the tours was mediocre and sad. A lot were cool like the Angels game, Waltz apartment, and space but the others were okay. It was way easier to get into events this time because you got a heads up before they opened registration.Â
RATING: 6 (Cool events, but not as cool)
Social Media:
2011: It wasn’t used much and there wasn’t any page so we kind of did a fend for yourself deal which wasn’t bad its just in the time we didn’t really relay on it as much as we do now.
RATING: 5 (Not much media)
2016: It was a big part of this. We have Blog and Vlogs to look at before arrival, and it helped out a lot. We had a facebook group for incoming cp’s and we still are able to talk on that page. The DORMS site and the WORST THING in the world. I have never had to set my password more in my life. You we lucky to get that thing to work at all.
RATING: 8 (good but DORMS sucks)
OVERALL RATING: Adding up all my ratings, 1-80.
2011 Program: 60 out of 80. 2016 Program: 50 out of 80.

Packing.
I started to pack up this week. Its very strange and very real now that we are all moving away. Its crazy to see how fast the program goes. It has been hard, long, painful, but its finally about to end. I am about to become a CR now. I am excited for that. I am very much excited to not pay this insane rent here. I would love to be able to accaully do things and not just only pay rent. It’s insane that over 3/4 of your check goes back into disney. Its not right at all. Its a nice housing unit but not nice enough that all of us together in this 1b 1ba is paying a total of 1800 and others are paying about 3400.
I cant wait to start my adventure with my new roomies and expand my life here.
Just a day off in the park
Pokemon Go at Carnegie Plaza!
So since the new pokemon go app has come up. downtown Anaheim is the most poppin’ place because there is so many pokestops and such. It is really entertaining. It’s the new way us dcp’s are connecting at the end of the program here. I know it’s just a game and such but it brings this excitement to us. It makes the idea of moving soon and the idea of leaving go away for a moment and let us sit down and connect for a moment. It’s good. It’s rather revealing. (unless the app crashes then the world is ending.)
Hey friends, I haven't been active in a while and I am so sorry, but here is a new vlog. No, I am not in it but its nice tips about moving to your dcp housin...
Making Step’s To Stay.
A couple of days ago we all applied for our apartment in California, it has been my goal for years to come back to do the DCP and stay on after the program to continue my life with the Disneyland Resort. I have already gotten a second job, which is a dcp no no, but I have to make a living somehow. I needed to save up money to move. It is crazy to me and so unreal that I am ready to stay. Its crazy that we are coming to the end of our program. Its been a struggle, its been long, its been short but its ending now. It’s time to start the real adventure that this small adventure has lead me up to.
I will keep you posted if we got the apartment.

Magic Moment: Casey Jr Train’s (X2)
I got to be a part of a fun experience. We have only had one train on Casey Jr for sometime now. Normally there is two, train 7 and train 9. We have had 7 my entire program. I was put in the Pin Casey plan rotation the other day. (which I normally am only ever Toad Alice) I walked up asking myself why the train looked so different. I realized it was train 9. I got to be one of the first on train 9 and I got to be the first CP of my program to learn how to drive two trains at once! It was a fun moment for me and I loved two trains!
Magic Moment: Mr. Toad
I have a lot of new magic moments on Mr Toad’s Wild Ride. I enjoy it so much because I get to help people go though a very crazy ride. So now I have to much fun with it. Once I board people I will ask them questions such as ‘do you know how to drive?’ ‘Are you a good driver?’ ‘Do you have a licence?’ the responses are amazing from people and it makes the attraction fun for them and myself.
Best Response:
Me: Are you are crazy driver?
Lady: Well, I mean I am Asian so probably.
