Wayne Thiebaud inspired me to paint my first realistic oil painting two years ago. Makes me want to do it again sinces I've only been working abstract lately. You should check out his other work if you like this one. What really caught my attention when I discovered his work was his shadows, such a soothing feeling to look at. His color choices are great too, very sufisticated yet playfull and childlike. I saw this painting for the first time this morning and it reminded me how much i like his work. I'm a fan of cartoons, used to watch Cartoon Network as a kid on parabol, so for me this reminds me a little bit of that time in my life.
