Yay my first post on Tumblr! It's not without reason. I really wanted to talk about some stuff I found online but didn't want to do my usual Neocities thing, because I just want to post fast right now. (as fast as I can be with a perpetually distracted mind)

I think I literally searched up "Desktop Fish" or something earlier today, and found this Japanese site. Now, I downloaded the program and was very happy. It was pretty much exactly what I wanted when I looked up such a vague term. The only issue is, is that...

So, no tropical fish, etc. But you can add custom fish and corals, which is kind of neat. I'm not mentally in art mode right now though. Maybe later I'll try it out, it seems simple enough to make? Apparently someone commented on the embed video on the site, and the creator said they don't support the software anymore, so... I'm totally the type to have paid for the program even if it was going to have issues. Heck, I bought Marine Aquarium 3 on a whim when I had more money. As for this fish desktop program... abandonware it is, then? That being said, their site is interesting. They have a personal blog (still being updated!) to this day. I guess they like making 3d models, and have a showcase of some other people's models as well. Please do check it out. Note to my future self: I'd like to make sure it's archived too. Too often I see sites just go *poof* on the web. I may post some images from the place on here for fun. They also have some standalone programs you can run featuring neon tetras and kissing gouramis. The 'About' says the program was made using DesktopXPro. I guess I kind of recognize Stardock's name from some MichaelMJD videos I've seen.

Anyways before I go on my next tangent (which I may put in a seperate post), I'd like to stay vaguely related to the topic of digital aquariums...

Loooook at this. This. Is. Literally. Something. I have been searching for, for over a year now. Just a solid, pretty looking digital aquarium. Here's the site.

I guess it only came out in the last year, so, apparently I'm not late or anything. I thought this was related to a program I actually have downloaded on my laptop called "My Sim Aquarium", but they're by different companies and I think from different countries as well.
