𝑛𝑒𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒𝑛 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑠

“ need  a  hand ?  ”  skylar offered  a  friendly smile  as  she approached  them,  wondering if  they  would even  want  help let  alone  accept. nothing  wrong  with offering,  though.

avery  was  sitting by  the  beach, her  feet  buried in  the  warm  sand  as  her  eyes  traveled  from  the  seagull she  was  drawing to  the  paper. she  had  been  sitting  there  for  a  couple  of  hours  now  and  all  she  had  been  doing  was  drawing random  things  she  could  see  from  where  she  was  seating:  seagulls, the  lighthouse,  and  the  old  fence,  she  even  drew  her  flipflops buried  in  the  sad,  she  was  bored  by  that  time.  “  excuse  me  ”  she  waved  at  the  person now  walking  closer to  her.  “  can  you  please  draw  a  random shape  on  there  ?  i  ran  out  of  ideas  and  i  need  inspiration ”  the  blonde asked  with  a  smile  on  her  lips.  “  that  or  i  can  draw  you  like  one  of  those  french girls  ”  she  said  jokingly, handing  the  other  the  notepad.

‘Mama? Can we get some strawberries?’ Alessandra’s daughter asked softly, looking up at the older woman. The mother smiled down at Cressida as she nodded, squeezing the small hand that she currently held. “Of course princess, let’s see if we can find any, yea?” She hummed, walking between the stalls of the market with the young girl. She was glancing at one when she narrowly managed to miss someone, the woman quickly pulling her daughter to her. “Oh gosh I apologize, I tell my kids to look where they walk and sometimes I don’t even take my own advice.” She laughed.

“  you  can  take  some  pizza  as  long  as  you’re not  a  dick  ”  leilani offered  with  a teasingly  smile  on her  lips.  it wasn’t  as  if she  had  made those,  or  that she  was  the one  throwing  that improvised  beach  party,  yet  …  she didn’t  regret  telling that  to  the other,  if  they were  a  dick  they  could  go  away,  she  didn’t need  that  energy  around  her.  “  i  was  surfing when  all  this started,  how  did you  found  out about  it  ?  ”

“Love this town.” She said, happy to get away from the life she was used to back then

sitting  close  to  the  fire,  she  was  twirling  around the  drink  with  her  finger, looking  admittedly  a  little  bored  and  trying not  to  think  about  the  weirdo  staring at  her  from  across the place.  “  does  he  look  creepy to  you  ?  ”  aria  asked  the  person next  to  her  and  nodded in  the  bearded man’s  direction,  looking a  bit  too  out  of  place.  there  was  a  twinge  in  her  stomach hoping  they  don’t  mind  her  speaking  to  them  -  and  frankly not  entirely caring  if  they  do  -  while  trying to  seem  like  she  was  talking  about  the  weirdo in  a  beanie like  he’s  trying to  imitate  jughead jones  and  failing miserably.  “  he’s  like,  totally  giving me  the  creeps right  now  ”  she  told  to  the  other.

zara  took  a  sip  of  her  drink  before she  turned  to  look  at  the  person right  next  to  her.  “  have  you  ever  thought about  the  fact  …  ”  the  young  woman  went  silent  …  she  blinked a  couple  of  times.  “  i  can’t  remember  what  i  was  about  to  say  ”  the  alcohol was  doing  all  the  talk  for  her.  “  wait  …  were  we  even  talking  or  ?  ”  she  asked  with  one  of  her  charming  smiles on  her  lips.
