I'm not sure how much a beard would actually help him sell tickets too his tour, or help in closeting him? Would dating a D-list UK public figure help him sell tickets in latam? Larries won't buy a beard anyway and we are the largest part of his fandom. He's already got bg for closeting purposes, it's the publicity he needs. Using his connection to Harry, a global artist, through larry is a way to get people interested in him. I've always said they should both use larry for promo, but i didn't mean shitting on larries for promo... Even though this brought him more headlines than a papped outing with a D-list would, i'd take it any day over dragging my own fans under the bus like this...

I agree honestly. If Louis and harry were “spotted” together having lunch or with a group of people or whatever, being totally platonic, that would still boost their publicity like crazy (not that harry needs it lol). In the 1d days, the closeting was in the interest of selling them to young girls who would see them as desirable and attainable, but now, with older fans and a lot of fans who have been here since 1d growing up with them, they have room to grow. Room to move.

However, being awful to your fans isn’t the way to go. Being bestie platonic bro pals in public with someone who you were in a band with and has a massive following and there’s rumours about you dating, will keep you in the bloody press.

Also also, the chicken stuff is a pretty niche thing to lash out about.
