A MESSAGE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, La'Tasha D. Mayes: Dear #NewVoices Community, Thank you for your support of me and New Voices. I am thrilled to announce some exciting news with you! #1. I am going on sabbatical! Beginning July 1, I will be taking a sabbatical to rest, refresh and recalibrate as I reflect on my leadership and the next phase of movement-building for New Voices. Reproductive Justice is the love of my life. Even though I could do this work everyday, all day forever, it is time to take a break for my own health and well-being. My desire is to fully return in January 2018 as a better and bolder leader for Reproductive Justice and embody the vision for Reproductive Justice for myself as I and my excellent Team work to make this vision a reality for the Black women, femmes and girls we serve. ***It brings me great joy to announce the Executive Leadership of New Voices for Reproductive Justice during my sabbatical.*** @charmaine.lang will join our Team as Interim Executive Director. @blkfeminst has been promoted to the new role of Deputy Director. @carm_pgh will continue in her role as Senior Operations Manager. ***The New Voices Board is everything.*** I am grateful for the entire Board of Directors of #NewVoices: @thealeciadawn, @ivo0vi, @yogadiva3, @sdeejay31, @thenarobinson, Christina Thompson and Genee' Lee.
