I will never rate the Tumblr app

We talk about “fish” (which, cladistically, do not exist, there is no monophyletic group of “fish” that simultaneously includes all organisms we understand to be “fish”-like while also excluding, say, humans) because, despite the utter fiction that is fish, it’s still a useful label when we talk about certain features that “fish” tend to have in common.

it's already been pointed out in the reblogs but genuinely wild to scroll through the notes and see how these very obvious jokes have resulted in people wholeheartedly calling this misandry (not real, go to hell) and going 'hm I can see why men hate women so much.' I even saw people throw in that this was terf rhetoric and ableist.

everyone really thinks they can just stick cis or straight in front of women and suddenly that makes the obvious misogyny towards them okay like lmao yall are not well. "we have GOT to keep making fun of cis women who tell jokes so we can list a bunch of reasons we think they're horrible and bigoted so they can be ashamed they ever tried to be funny 🤪"
