Hello, hello, my Anidala family! I'm sorry that this is a touch late (I wanted to do this before June), but I'm so excited to announce that we will be having Summer Anidala Week 2026 SOON!

I am one of the main administrators of Anidala Weeks, so I handle everything boring, such as dates, times, FAQs, and responding to DMs. I also handle our AO3 collections, account, and tags. I'm probably the easiest person to go to for quick information, as I have it all on my handy-dandy computer, but I have a very loud brain, so give me about 24-48 hours on those DMs, friends! I promise that I will do my best to get back to you â I'm just running around all the time with work.
Only one thing has changed: I am no longer on Twitter for mental health purposes and have deleted the app (I'm under @/sunleashed over there.) I will do my best to get on there if I absolutely have to, but do me a solid and reach out on Tumblr, Instagram, or TikTok - all of my handles are @shoobscantsleep :)

J is our other main administrator of Anidala Weeks, and they also handle many of our duties like reposting, letting shoobs know that information has slipped through the cracks, and helping out with polling for information, etc. They absolutely can answer many of the same questions that shoobs can, and have many more ways to contact shoobs if, for whatever reason, she goes AWOL.

I always do a big information post about two days after posts like this, with DATE and PROMPT Announcements, and I intend to do that again! I'm an announcement-heavy kind of person: there will always be a post a few days before any Anidala event with the general FAQS. As always, please please please reach out with any questions, concerns, or comments.

people who divide names in star wars into either normal (read: western sounding ones) or weird (read: originating from non-western cultures) put me off big time. a lot of names in star wars read pretty normal to me, and actually are normal.
if someone would take time out of their day to trace their origins plus also come out of their bubble where they see the world as (west + weird-rest), they would see that thousands of years old cultures have had these names exist for thousands of years compared to their ânormalâ sounding names.
also, of course, the creator himself is to be blamed for never giving credit, stealing origins nilly-willy, adding all sorts of influences from non-western cultures but never even naming them.
