Waterford, Maine. It was a quaint, small town with a summer camp nestled deep within the woods. The same families come and go. The same campers become counselors. It wasn't until 1970 when eighteen-year-old Robin Murphy was found strung up in the woods. Her body, brutally mutilated.
The town quickly buzzed with gossip about what could have been. News travels fast in a small town like the one on Camp Redwood's outskirts. The camp had been closed for nearly three years, allowing the police ample time to dig up nothing on the case.
Every lead ended up in a dead end.
The camp stayed closed for another two years following Robin Murphy's case going cold. That was until it was reopened and a man was arrested and sentenced for the murder of the Teen.
He was put away for a long, long time.
Now, with the whispers finally quieting amongst the crowd and the name of Robin Murphy being nearly left to the wayside, the camp opens its gates once more.

"Yes. Yes, I know. It's a girl's name. You can call me Rhodey. Or Rhodes. Or really anything besides Erin."
Erin hated his nameβso much so that he started going by his last name. He was lanky, awkward, tall, and had a girl's nameβa concoction that ended in him being picked on all throughout school. Erin has been at Camp Redwood every summer since he was twelve. Moving from camper to Counselor-In-Training to now being the archery instructor and head counselor for the boys' cabin, Hill 4. Erin went to college but quickly dropped out when he realized how difficult Calculus was. Plus, nothing grabbed his attention more than the colorful stories of a comic book. He'd often find himself getting lost deep within the pages. Getting overly excited talking about his favorites.
"Oh, Yeah! Especially Batman Number-" Gag me with a spoon!
"Ouch. Okay. That one hurt." Erin got used to it. He found solace in sharing his joys with the small group of friends he made. He found safety in the pages of a comic book and fell into a world of fantasy, which is how he picked up archery. Though he was outgoing, bubbly, and eccentric, he loved the inviting nature of the quiet. Erin needed quiet...
Especially after having to testify in a murder trial.
