The boomers are kinda right about the whole "sometimes ya gotta stop bitching and just fix your own problems" but then they get all pissy when the way you do that is by transitioning
Transition + ADHD diagnosis + a vitamin panel solved like 91% of my problems
Of the remaining 9%, about 6% is capitalism, 2% is transphobia, and 1% is misc. But these people also get pissy when you try to fix capitalism or transphobia so what do they know
Turns out the The Magic Missing Vitamin from that one post is real, it's just that people don't applaud you for your bravery when The Vitamin is hormones or stimulants
They also don't applaud you when it's actual vitamin D so. Maybe not a unique thing
Co-signing the vitamin D thing. 5-30% of US Americans are deficient (broken down by race and age, source CDC).
Iodine deficiency is also common (same report). You need Iodine for your thyroid to function, and you need your thyroid for everything. Feeling lethargic and shitty all the time, constantly too cold and too hot, exhausted, weak, generally shitty? Iodine deficiency might be the cause. If you only use kosher salt, you might be at higher risk for iodine deficiency. Get that shit checked!
Yuuuuuppppppppp
Vitamin panels are SO helpful for fixing so many of those "constantly tired but don't know why" problems. Obviously not a magic bullet, but they're sometimes not part of standard annual physical blood panels, and the solution to the problems they find is gummies that you can buy for cash. Huge bang for your buck in terms of improving your basic quality of life.
