the borders !!!
no NSFW content! erotic content is not welcome on this blog.
uncomfortable with proship, darkship – that is, illegal ones like incest, pedo and etc. Pairing that I find interesting have an equal age status. in particular for the Invader Zim fandom: I perceive Zim as a child of the SAME age as Dib, therefore I treat zadr or zadf, zadqp positively/neutrally, other perceptions like adult!Zim/child!Dib or vice versa are strictly discouraged!!!
ofc homophobia, transphobia and other forms of discrimination are not welcome
I am a non-confrontational person, therefore, it is advisable to avoid quarrels. If you are not satisfied with my views, content and etc., then please leave my blog, for the sake of your own and my comfort

HELLO GUYS, I succumbed to my hyperfixation on the IZ and made OC with lore for him and about two versions for the universe with him!!! one is more independent and serious, without much interference in the canon/main events, the second is more for fun and to amuse my love for old men yaoi with Prof. Membrane and old Irken deserter, lol, this will lead one of them to a crisis, soo, to many words for introductions xp
This post will contain brief and general information with references, and there will be more in other posts.
sooo reference, and below there will be some "diagrams" for a better understanding of different versions and key events, such as the incident with Miyuki's death
Aaaand, two key verse! and my favorite event, so, lets see little in detail
I compared Ned's life path with Zim, it seemed to me more visual and understandable, for immersion and orientation in events and time periods. In fact, both universes are identical to each other, except for the events after the "escape" (I'll talk about this in more detail, as well as about Ned's defective, losing hand and etc, but in the next post, let's stretch the intrigue heh).
The key difference is that in vers # 1, Ned just remains a wanderer, traveling through galaxies and studying/observing different planets, instead of invading, vers #2 develops the same way, but in the process of escaping, the ship crashes under attack and on the last thrust, gets to a remote planet – Earth, he has to stay here, in order to rebuild the ship and fix himself, in the process, disguising himself, collecting materials (for example, to search them with access to the engineering warehouse xp) and ending up in the walls of the Membrane laboratory as a surprisingly tenacious assistant and a useful engineer at the same time.
And now, let's move on to the only canonical lore moment in which I wanted to introduce Ned with a sideline – Miyuki's death.
*h.s – human standard
A reason why I decided to place Ned, just seemed interesting to me, to give them (Ned and Zim) a first meeting with a very slim chance that they would ever remember each other after or recognize each other, if we take into account version #2 :)
I just liked the idea that their defectiveness would manifest itself at that moment, since Zim was still considered very tiny at the time of working in the laboratory, I think it's unwise to let a literally little child near something extremely dangerous. Anyway, I like to think that in a moment of chaos and mayhem, Zim would be rrly scared, experiencing exactly what PAK suppresses in every Irken – weakness, pity and fear.
Ned, in turn, showed defective in the urge to protect a frightened child, showing fear for the life of another and pity for the frightened smeet.
I like it as a concept of a defect when they didn't even realize it yet, yk???
We know what Zim was waiting for after the "trial" and Ned's action was not just skipped, however, it would be wasteful to get rid of such a useful employee (I like to think that at that time there was a shortage of personnel or a crisis, plus the fact that, for example, smeet like Zim were sent to the points). especially when doing "dirty work", such as repairing and exploring remote wreck sites where materials, weapons, and entire ships could be repaired.
ADHD advice from non-ADHD people: start blocking out your day and put things in your google calendar
ADHD advice from ADHD people: any time you're waiting for your food to microwave YOU HAVE TO WASH DISHES WASH AS MANY AS YOU CAN THIS IS A RACE AGAINST TIME THIS IS THE ONLY TIME THIS COULD HAPPEN
Constantly trapped in the concept of Dib being nice to Zim or gentle with him (they are dating at this point or something close to that) and Zim being caught between trusting Dib completely because that’s just how Zim is when he loves someone and being terrified of genuine kindness because he associated it with tricks or deception.
Partially due to Zim’s internal issues with self esteem. He doesn’t believe that anyone being kind to him is being honest because he doesn’t deserve that. However, it’s also due in part that many irkens will use kindness to lie and manipulate each other, I like to think that Zim experienced this as a smeet and it really confused and scared him.
Tiny (or not...) yapping about Zim and functions PAK :P
If you think about it, he never actually aimed to cause harm; his programming is canonically broken/defective (plus he’s hyperactive, naive, chaotic, which is pretty obvious), and he’s just too... ambitious. You know, like those kids from the category of: "Oh, I can do this better and help out more!!" when they are asked to do a small chore like... put a pair of socks into the laundry basket. They decide to “help with the laundry” and start the washing machine, adding too much detergent — foam comes out of the hatch, and water spills all over the floor.
I like to think that because of his defective, he is on the level of—or rather, is just an ordinary young/minor Irken like of an Earth child. Hyperactive, childishly foolish behavior, believing every word from "authorities," and giving in to his whimsical ideas. He’s just... like an unsupervised kid without a proper upbringing, yk???
Unlike other Irkens who don't have a defect, their programming is hardwired into their brains, working exactly as intended, turning them into the ideal soldiers bred by the Empire in capsule, Despite their young age, brains are programmed to skip this part of ‘upbringing’ and ‘psychological development’, you see? The entire history of the Irk and knowledge are loaded into them, as if replacing the experience that they could gain for a long time in the process of growth and development, and besides, this makes the concept of Empire more militaristic. Why wait for soldiers to grow when you can train them as soon as they learn to stand?
In the comic where he faced his adult(!!!) version from the future, he was more than just... calmed down, but at the same time, he was still funny and Zim-like, just grown-up, serious, stability and successful.
That's because he got older, slowly, making mistakes and learning from mistakes, gaining experience! in general, he has gone through the standard path of development and growth, having achieved, so to speak, competence, it sounds logical, doesn't it?
That's why I truly think the PAK and the program inside it simply... mm, accelerated maturation, and it not a necessity, but a surgical intervention to optimize the Irken army, it sounds gloomy, but in the style of a show!
The PAK is like a Petri dish with agar-agar; it creates a ready-made nutrient medium, and all that's left is to assign roles to the little aliens and have them complete training for those positions—and boom, the perfect soldier is ready.

its kinda sorta really funny to me that people act like zadr is a sin against humanity because Jhonen Vasquez decided that zim was a billion smillion years old for some reason. Like you don't have to agree with everything he says just because he made something furreaking epic and awesome. Just because I liked JTHM does not mean i have to agree with the worldview he expresses in it. As far as I can tell, Vasquez seems to value author intent over audience interpretation, which I don't agree with. To me, if i watch the show and interpret Zim as a child, that means Vasquez failed to convey otherwise within the show (I shouldn't have to go outside of a show to learn necessary context for it). Of course author intent can help guide how we see a character, but if their actual characterization is not in line with how the author views them, then the audience shouldn't be obligated to throw away their own interpretation. I feel that thinking that way ignores that a large part of storytelling is allowing an audience to come to their own conclusions; a creator's role is more or less to give them waypoints. What Vasquez does is like leaving a trail unmarked, and then chastising us when we don't walk it. I don't think it's at all weird that people see Zim as a child. If it looks like a child and acts like a child, people aren't stupid for treating it like a child. Oh and also, the Irken Empire having child soldiers is way funnier. That was my real reason for writing this.
i don't know why zadr age discourse is everywhere again (i'm assuming it's a resurgence in harassment due to the anniversary bringing people back in) but at the end of the day neither "side" is going to convince each other of their "correct answer" so my advice to everyone out there is to do whatever the hell you want forever
1) why does it even matter when every zadr shipper on planet earth will tell you they don't view it as pedophilic. everyone in this discourse agrees that pedophilia is bad
I thought that Zim might have come across a fashion magazine with headlines like "Your beauty will conquer the world!!" and taken it so literally that he started wearing everything he saw on the pages lmao

Very strong desire to name the hum!Peridot - Peryl, well sounds like it, eh?
A little lore to help you understand what's going on.
BUTT before that, a warning, I have VERY bad english and managed partly with the help of a translator, the original text is written in russian in my tgch 😞
anddd lore, yeah
The events take place in a fictional world, in fictional states with different regimes.
peridot was from birth in an extremely totalitarian, closed state, where from the very childhood only one idea was instilled in her mind - to serve and obey the authorities. The fate befell Peri, and in order to ensure her chances for the most favourable future as the lesser of evils, she was sent to a military engineering boarding school from the time she was a baby, which was also an educational institution where those who served the authorities were brought up (a Spartan child, for God's sake), so her whole life revolved around technology, systems and serving her own country.
She would have continued to participate in the creation and testing of military technologies, until one day of testing equipment behind the walls (i guess, "servicemen" were the only ones who could leave the walls, not for nothing, of course, but still), she had a chance to see another piece of the world, completely different from the one described by her childhood neighbors.
At that very moment, it seems, there was a point of no return, there was no way back, only forward, into nurturing, denial and hard acceptance of the idea of the truth that she had seen with her own eyes.
breaking of templates and reorganization of her whole life was hard, even painful, because how could it be? To give her whole life in service and to deny it after so many years, dreaming only of escape from the country she considered to be the standard?
she was nothing but a traitor, not just any traitor, but one close to power, a trusted one, she did not notice how she became the one she despised most of all.
one day, information was leaked, and in spite of all caution, her plans to "escape", or rather, just her thoughts and dreams, were discovered and immediately reported to her superiors so that they could take action.
And Peridot is not an ordinary citizen who would not take five minutes to be shot in the forehead, she is an extremely useful worker, which would be wasteful to get rid of in such a way, therefore, as a warning and restriction, she is deprived of one of her legs (this is done under medical supervision, under partial anesthesia, so that she is conscious enough to hear what is said to her and see the consequences of her freedom of thought) and loses some of her powers, including the ability to get outside the walls.
now all her work is concentrated inside, and the leg will somehow slow her down and put her at risk of being caught, option one - submit and stop.
but will the peridot accept that option?
and this part I haven't thought of, but I suppose that she could plan for a long time and finally, having chosen the right moment, sneak to the exit car, but everything can't go smoothly, that's why at the most important moment, where freedom is only a few steps away, her hand is seized and in such an emergency situation, she thinks of nothing better than to break and cut it off.
when she escapes, she can be picked up closer to the border and given the necessary help.
Anyway peridot fugitive, lore not to be taken too seriously, it's just a knee-jerk made up backstory for fun.
me and my friends in images of my favorite deltarune trio.... three version because I and Ann have one brain cell for two and couldn't make up our minds, shaggy only reasonable person among us lmao....
