Imu seems to REALLY hate Joyboy
Ik I was joking about the love triangle between Imu, Joyboy and Lili but seriously I’m actually starting to believe the void century is just one really messy breakup between the three of them and somehow Davy Jones was involved
Maybe he was also part of the love story idk anything is possible at this rate
The panel with Joyboy makes me believe that Imu and Joyboy were friends or at least have a type of bond as we see Imu laughing with Joyboy,
This could possibly mean that Joyboy betrayed Imu and that’s why Imu is so hurt by this. Maybe Imu was a prince Joyboy helped out and the two became close after that so when Imu went against the ancient kingdom, he thought Joyboy would help him. Which he obviously didn’t.
That along with the fact Lili also betrayed him, yeah he would be very salty about it.
He is also has his og silhouette when we see him laughing so that further proves that whatever form he has rn isn’t his true form, that black blob probably is.
Also also also, Joyboy has curly hair, LOOK AT THE SILHOUETTE THE HAIR IS CURLING!!!! Kinda looks like Inuaki (the live action actor) 👀
Not sure how I feel about Imu smiling at the end while thinking, wth is he gonna do with Loki 😭
Was so busy talking about the ending that I forgot the beginning 💀
You are all going to have to hear me out but what if the reason why Loki and Luffy couldn’t be domi-reversi is because they valued their autonomy? It’s a very basic idea but something Oda would probably do.
Loki calls himself Nika, and Luffy IS Nika, both have an aspect of the personification freedom in some way. Their wills must be incredibly strong so have them both out right reject domi-reversi because both don’t wish to be under someone else’s dominion, they don’t want control over others, they only want their freedom.
Thing against this idea is probably the people who bring up Rocks, but remember Rocks could withstand domi-reversi for a short while before he was taken over it’s not hard to say that maybe he didn’t value freedom the way those two do.
Going further into this idea, Imu says that “Strength is an attribute people naturally crave— and yet that craving can easily be satisfied with Corruption!!! It merely requires one to submit their will with a Covenant!!! When their envy drives them, they’ll achieve Power!!”
It reminds me of an SBS segment where Oda talked about why York joined the celestial dragons. He said that even a kind person may desire to become a celestial dragon (paraphrasing here)so maybe that’s why domi-reversi works? It finds out your deepest desire and gives you the strength or ability to achieve this desire and in return you will be under Mu’s dominion.
As far as I am aware of, Luffy and Loki don’t desire power, they aren’t envious of others (well maybe Loki) and they don’t desire to be the strongest person around unless they NEED to be. That’s why they couldn’t be reversed
Me and you both Loki, I still don’t get his powers 🥲
