Always talk about "reclaiming" landmine, yet hate those who were originally targeted by it? It doesn't make sense, you tear it from its roots by reducing us to the "problematic" undesired part.

They're ashamed of themselves and their community. They've been told by others that self harm and drug abuse is problematic not because it harms the doer but because it's a personal moral failing on the doer's end and they don't want to fail.

They still want to vent through jirai, but it's difficult when you see your own mental struggles and impulses as "problematic". So they project onto jp landmines and their subculture. Some of them don't see jp landmines as real people, only cute attractive pitiful objects. Which is why so many of them feel no qualms about venting by superficially idolizing and projecting onto jp landmines' suffering (like the aformentioned boxcutters and strong zero)

But the moment you address these landmines like they're real people who are capable of making bad choices, capable of causing harm either to themselves or others, capable of being "problematic", they retreat. They will dream of going to Japan and taking dance videos with landmines in Kabukicho but refuse to claim the other landmines cutting themselves on the pavement just out of frame. They will pose with strong zero and any other booze substitute they can find, but then accuse the landmines passed out drunk on the streets of promoting substance abuse. I have seen overseas landmines even mimic jp landmine escorts/rental girlfriends for their insta posts.

They won't vent through themselves, so they vent through jirai cosplay.

They don't care about the struggles of jp landmines until someone addresses them like they're actually real human beings. Then they're problematic.
