The bond offering has also revived a familiar question: when, if ever, SpaceX will go public. Despite years of speculation, Elon Musk has repeatedly indicated that the company is not rushing toward an IPO. Starlink has often been viewed as the more likely candidate for a future public listing, but no firm timeline has emerged.

Investor interest remains strong because SpaceX has become one of the most valuable private companies in the world. The combination of commercial launches, satellite internet services, and ambitious long-term space projects has made the company a focal point for both technology and financial markets.

My Comment:

MSI is getting ready to show off a new QD-OLED gaming monitor at Computex that’s being billed as the first “triple-mode” display of its kind. The idea is that users can switch between different resolution and refresh rate combinations depending on whether they want maximum image quality or the fastest possible competitive gaming experience.

The announcement comes as display makers keep pushing OLED gaming hardware into increasingly extreme territory. New QD-OLED panels are already moving beyond the old 4K 240Hz standard, with Samsung Display recently unveiling technology capable of 4K at 360Hz while also supporting much higher refresh rates at lower resolutions.

MSI has been one of the companies leaning heavily into Samsung’s latest QD-OLED developments, including newer panel generations focused on higher brightness, improved text clarity, and better longevity. Recent MSI monitor launches have also highlighted advances like multi-layer QD-OLED structures and upgraded anti-reflective coatings.

Observation:

Microsoft announced a new 12-inch Surface Pro alongside the Surface Laptop 8, continuing its push toward slimmer and more AI-focused Windows hardware. The smaller Surface Pro is positioned as a more portable version of the larger model, with ARM-based Snapdragon X chips, improved battery life, and deeper Copilot integration built directly into Windows experiences.

The Surface Laptop 8 also leans heavily into AI branding, with Microsoft highlighting on-device processing for things like live captions, image generation, and assistant features. Both devices are part of the company’s broader “Copilot+ PC” strategy, where AI functions are becoming one of the main selling points instead of just extra software additions.

Microsoft says the new hardware is designed to balance portability and long battery performance while still handling everyday productivity tasks. The designs themselves stay pretty familiar, though the company seems increasingly interested in making Surface devices feel lighter, quieter, and more appliance-like rather than high-powered enthusiast machines.

The ongoing legal fight between Elon Musk and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is moving closer to a courtroom trial. The dispute centers on Musk’s claims that OpenAI strayed from its original nonprofit mission and became too focused on profit after partnering closely with Microsoft.

Musk, who co-founded OpenAI but later left, argues the organization no longer aligns with its original goals of developing AI for the public good. OpenAI and Altman have pushed back, defending their current structure and direction while questioning Musk’s motivations for the lawsuit.

The case has drawn attention across the tech industry, not just because of the high-profile figures involved, but because it touches on bigger questions about how AI companies should be governed, funded, and held accountable as their influence grows.
