I think Levi's donates to Outreach International every year too, as well as sponsoring pride events and other community support. I remember when I was younger, anytime I watched a movie where the characters have to kill a scary monster/alien, I always thought the act of killing it was intended to be part of the horror. Like there’s this amazing creature that we’ve never seen before, and maybe under different circumstances we could’ve coexisted with it, but it’s trying to attack you and you have to defend yourself, but by destroying it you also destroy the ability to ever understand it and that’s sad and is supposed to make you feel conflicted.
It was not until well into my adulthood that I realized most people do not have complicated feelings about movies where people have to kill a scary alien monster, nor is that necessarily meant to be part of the narrative (unless it very obviously is). They just want the scary thing to die because it’s scary. I don’t have a real conclusion to this I just started thinking about it for some reason.

This may simultaneously be amongst the most horrifying AND most gay things I've seen in my long life.
The closest thing I can think of is those old Sino/Soviet posters all about men striving together which just looks like they're a slightly adorable gay couple, sometimes bringing up their kids together.
The central image strives for manliness, though I can only hear Jabba the Hutt's theme playing in my head as I look at it.
But the near naked, ALL MALE, totally toned (and possibly cloned) cheerleaders gleefully flinging their pompoms with gay [sic] abandon makes JC Leyendecker's work look butch.
To add another layer to the nightmare of this "art", it looks like the cheerleaders all resemble young Ronald Regan. yikes

There was.... SO much work put into this... like... holy cow
I just reada really good fic but halfway through I realized "oh shit this is really familiar.... didn't I write something like this once?" And as I kept reading I kept predicting what happened next and the further I went the more convinced I was that they'd ripped off my story-
like, copied the ENTIRE plot and re-written it, just better than I had? The characters were more fleshed-out than mine were, and the POV was more interesting, and the pace made more sense- but it was MY STORY?
So close to the end I was like "holy shit.. do I message them? Ask if my story inspired theirs? Should I be angry? Flattered?" Cause their tags and description didn't mention me AT ALL, which, sure, it's fanfiction to begin with, but if you're using my work than at least credit me as inspo, right? Just to be courteous?
But I get to the end of the final chapter, and it's not finished, and I'm kind of disappointed cause I never finished my story and I was really immersed in their version now and had been looking forwards to seeing how they tied up my loose ends- so I scroll to the bottom to leave a comment, and.

The best thing you can do for yourself as a writer is to finish your thing, even if you think it’s shit, and then put it away and not think about it for six months. Then, get it back out and read it like you've never seen it before. You will impress yourself. AND you will have a better idea of what actually needs to be fixed.
