A stereotypical “bro hug” would’ve had their hands at their stomach. They would’ve had their bodies arching more (to avoid the waist from touching). They would’ve patted each others backs. All the good ole no homo bs.

But no these two love birds did NONE of that. They are staring directly into each others’ eyes. Those hands are right above their damn hearts. Their heads and necks are so close. Keith is buried into Shiro’s shoulder. But above all, THEY PULL EACH OTHER IN. Those hands aren’t just used for a handshake, its an anchor for them, a symbol of how devoted they are to save one another if either of them is in danger. I can’t count how many times they had each other’s backs and considering this was RIGHT AFTER finding out Keith is part Galra, this moment is just soooo incredibly meaningful.
