We will be playing our last show at the Jade Monday (cnr Flinders & Pultney) this Friday. The show will also serve as a launch for our split LP with Diplomat. We wish to extend a heartfelt gratitude to our heroes Diplomat for agreeing to do this record with us as well as to the labels and the people behind them who made it possible: Matt from Ruined Smile, Kehan from Don’ t Live Like Me, Fionn from Rubaiyat and Daniel from Time as a Color.

In addition, an unreleased Nebraska track called ‘Plug’ has been featured on Time as a Color - X, a compilation LP, celebrating 10 years of Daniel’s (Duct Hearts, Wishes on a Plane) great label. Once again, apologies to those who are interested for the lack of updates. With various members off traveling and a guitarist now living in regional South Australia, there hasn't been much recent activity.

The big news is that we have recently appeared on a new 10" compilation called "My Heart in Your Hands" which was released by a LOT of labels and features Human Hands (UK), Asthenia (Japan, pictured above performing live somewhere near Shinjuku station), Manku Kapak & Duct Hearts (Germany). We are big fans of each of these bands and we're thrilled to be able to share this record with them.

Couple of new things happening:

Firstly Nebraska have a show coming up this Friday. Its with Crypt and a new band called Great Ape, which features members of Slackjaw and Love Like Electrocution. Its at the new Jade Monkey so if you haven't seen it yet, this might be a good opportunity. Here's the flyer

Secondly we have run out of copies of the S/T 7". The last 20 copies with alternate covers were sold to Don't Live Like Me Records in Massachusetts (https://www.facebook.com/dontlivelikeme). T-shirts and Wrong World 2x7"s are still available through the Bigcartel (http://nebraskafromadelaide.bigcartel.com/). This is what the alternate covers look like

Finally, we are happy to announce that a new Nebraska song will soon feature on a 5 way split 10", which will be released in the next couple weeks and which will  feature Human Hands, Manku Kapak Duct Hearts and Asthenia. It's being released by a number of different labels from all over the world, and will be released in Australia by Red Panda Records (https://www.facebook.com/redpandarecords).

Thanks to everyone who pre-ordered the compilation. Also thanks to those who came out to the gig at Salad Days and picked up a copy there, the night was a great success with good times had by all. Unfortunately both the box set and poster edition of the compilation are now all sold out. Artist, distro and store copies are in the process of being organised, sorry to all the bands who’ve been waiting a while for their copies. At the moment our singer Matt Holding is in America and will be going to basketball games, seeing Knapsack and visiting Yosemite National Park and Library of Congress. Say “Hi” if you see him. As a result Nebraska won’t be playing shows until next year. But In the mean time we’ll keep writing for our LP and will also be preparing a track for a yet to be announced compilation record due out early next year, featuring a whole lot of cool bands from around the world.

A year or so ago me and some friends came to the conclusion that their were a number of thriving emo, screamo, post-hardcore and whatever bands in this country that were going under the radar due to a natural discourse of state separation, geographical disconnection and a lack of communication in the Australian punk community which failed to recognise these bands presence as a community when compared to more commonplace and normative modes of hardcore and punk. We decided to document some of these great and interesting bands in a compilation so that they don't get forgotten like so many have before which we are releasing tonight. Please come and have a suss.
