So I know this is rather sudden, but I’ve been thinking on this for a while.

I’ve moved Laine and Zane over to my multimuse, @undyinglegends !!

it’s infinitely easier for me to manage one blog rather than two. But!! the twins are all set up over there and are already interacting, so no need to worry about waiting! Relationships will carry over, and if you want to continue threads over there, just let me know!

What was it about him that screamed I want to be talked to by randos at all times? At the start it was cool and a way to do stuff. Now, it was just another nail in the Paultin Seppa’s character never develops coffin. This was why no one listened to him, probably. The wineskin was his one safety blanket. Always there, always full. “Nothing’s killed me yet. Not even tried, a little disappointed. Nah. What you doing in the woods in the middle of fucking nowhere?”

"Workin’. People in town were reportin’ ghouls out here, so I was sent to take care of ‘em. Haven’t found ‘em yet, though, so it’s still dangerous out here.” Her free hand goes to her hip, and she looks the man up and down once more.

“Think y’can manage back to town, or d’ya want me to at least see you safely there? Just ‘cause nothin’s gotten you yet don’t mean that they won’t. ‘Specially since you said that. That’s just askin’ to jinx it.“

”Hey. Whatcha doin’ out here this late? S’dangerous in this neck of the woods.” Despite the battleaxe resting on her shoulder, Laine’s stance is lax, and she eyes the strange man curiously before her eyes travel down to the wineskin. “Get back from a party that’s a bit too borin’ and wanted t’spice it up?”

“Whoa, whoa!” Laine yanks the other back away from the saw, despite it not operating at the moment, and gives her a wide-eyed look through dirtied goggles. “You nuts?! Even when these things are off you don’t wanna get close! A single hair gets caught, an’ say goodbye t’your scalp...”

She reaches down low to unplug the saw, then stands back up before moving the goggles on top of her head. “Y’wanna be careful, yeah?”

“… Boooo!” She’s grinning, though.

A soft smile and giggles from Zane. “W-well–hope we can keep that spell going?” He doesn’t know what’s happening–

                                          nigel  looks  over  the  other  suspiciously  .    why  had  she  of  all  people  decided  to  help  him  ?    it  wasn’t  as  if  he  couldn’t  hold  his  own  .    either  she  was  genuinely  nice  ,    or  this  was  a  trap  to  gain  his  trust  .    perhaps  this  was  all  planned  out  beforehand  …

An eyebrow raises, and she sticks a hand on her hip, weight shifting to one leg. “Jeez, kiddo, chill out. I don’t normally see kids your age who can fight that well. What kinda sh--stuff you gettin’ into that you gotta know how to fight like that?”

She matches his suspicious eyes with a face of confusion, so much that she’s not even angry that he snapped back at her. “Jesus, kid. I jus’ wanna make sure you’re okay. Why d’ya think I stepped in? What, I see a bunch of teenagers surrounding a kid and I’m jus’ supposed to stand back an’ watch?”

Laine huffs slightly, shoving her hands in her jacket pockets and narrowing her eyes at the ground. “Can’t stand people who gang up on one guy. Doesn’t matter if you can handle your own or not.” A pause. “... Glad you’re not hurt.”
