there is something so powerful about people who live so authentically as themselves. And I think that’s one of the things that I love the most about butches/studs is because they are so authentically themselves in a world that does not appreciate them as they should. It’s going against the grain of what society wants and expects and saying I do not adhere to what you think this should mean. I am not going to fall in line with what you expect of me because that isn’t how I see myself and that isn’t what I want for myself.
And that is so powerful. And so magical.
Butches/studs are soooo powerful. And anyone who gets to know them is blessed. And if your friends don’t appreciate it, or your family doesn’t, or whatever just know that there are femmes and other butches/studs out there who do appreciate you and we are so grateful for you.

A lot of people send me asks asking if they can be X identity if they experience Z and Y or for validation about IDing as a lesbian despite X. I don't mind people messaging for validation at all. That's one of the things I'm here for...but sometimes it feels like people aren't messaging for validation but for permission. Or for me to breakdown the intricacies of very specific identities in order to prove they count as X, or to tell them what they are. I just wanna say you don't need permission to ID as anything and also I'm not an expert. I'm not going to tell you what your identity is. Only you can know that. This isn't directed at any one specific person...this is more honestly a vibe I have felt for the last year or so. But yeah I love you all lots and you're great and I'm happy to be a space for you to talk out your feelings in. But if you're a lesbian and nb you can be a lesbian. Simple as that 💜

It's completely up to you. Personally I would still use wlw for myself as the experiences of wlw are completely relatable to me but if you want to use nblw you should use it! It's about what makes you feel comfortable/happy and is the most useful for you. You can also use both interchangeably if you want to. You don't have to pick one.

I don't know the definitions of neptunic or ammolic. All the love for people who use those terms but if you like lesbian you can just use lesbian. You don't need to worry if it's the most 'accurate' or 'correct' label. If you like it, you like it. It's also okay not to know and to take your time to figure stuff out. It's ALSO okay to use multiple labels if you feel you have experiences that cross over them (another example would be bi/pan people who switch between both terms). There’s so much info about tucking and gaffs (less so) but to all new trans girls.. just get some cotton panties like boyshorts style and push it back gently.
Like you might have to do slightly (slightly) more for tighter clothes or different fabrics but like… ya don’t need to tape yourself every day… or ever… and gaffs are good but unless you’re wearing something tight n thin cotton boyshorts or some other strong underwear will do the trick.
Like all this info pretending like you need special gaffs, tape, to shove ur testes up into your inguinal canal, etc. is classist, physically harmful, and preventatively daunting information to be spreading without disclaimers like this.
Idk if this has been said before but a long time ago another trans lady and I kinda realized we could just wear 2 pairs of underwear and call it a day without taping or anything fancy. Its definitely a cheap alternative and Ive been doing it for 6 years 👍

As a genderless person, it’d be nice if people could remember that not everyone is transmasc or transfem—that some of us are neutral, that some of us aren’t even on or anywhere near the male/female and masc/fem binaries.
It’d also be nice if more people would acknowledge that HRT and surgery isn’t exclusive to transmasc and transfem people. Like, a GQ/NB person who wants phalloasy, top surgery, or testosterone isn’t necessarily transmasc. And a GQ/NB person that wants vaginoplasty or oestrogen isn’t necessarily transfem. Wanting to transition when you’re neither a man nor a woman isn’t necessarily about identifying with masculinity or femininity, it’s about wanting a body that’s the most comfortable, a body that’s the least dysphoria-inducing.
Hey, I’ve currently been having an identity crisis and I think I’m a lesbian but idk. The concept of being a lesbian is nice, it’s fun to think about loving like that. But it feels so, disconnected? Like only if I was like them I could?
i think if a label/identity feels nice or appealing but it's still confusing whether it's for you then all you can do is give yourself time. i know that is a frustrating answer to hear, but please be patient with yourself. i do want to reassure you, though, that you can be a lesbian if you want to be

There are lots of ways to "come out" to yourself. What matters is not how you figured it out, but rather that you figured it out at all.

Can I consider myself a nonbinary lesbian if I'm attracted to both women and nonbinary people? Or do in order to be a lesbian do you have to be exclusively attracted to women?
You can be a lesbian and be attracted to nonbinary people, yes. I think the important thing to remember is that nonbinary people are often treated like a third gender in these discourses. Every nonbinary person’s gender is different, and so I would say that a lesbian has the *potential* to be attracted to every nonbinary person, but won’t be. And some nonbinary people wouldn’t be comfortable with someone iding as a lesbian being attracted to them. But short answer: yes you can definitely be a lesbian.

Hello :] So I recently came out to a few people as a nonbinary lesbian, and somedays I question if I'm faking my gender & sexuality. I quite honestly am aware that half of it is because of people telling me I haven't met the right guy, but I'm just curious if anyone has had experiences like this and how you overcame these thoughts :)
Questioning if you’re a ‘fake’ or ‘not real’ is very very normal. We all do it. I promise you. And when people tell you haven’t met the right guy, etc. They’re just being lesbaphobic. For some of us, there is no ‘right guy’ and being told that however many times won’t make it true. To the first one, I think you just have to rationalise how you feel - everyone feels fake sometimes. If I wasn’t really gay, nonbinary etc. then I wouldn’t think about it so much, and I wouldn’t have realised I was. It’s normal to question your gender/sexuality too but questioning yourself is very different to being scared you’re fake. To the second one, I’m afraid some lesbaphobia will always exist in your life, even in small moments and conversations. Surrounding yourself with people who do love, support, and respect you is the best way to combat this kind of thing in my opinion. That means even when you do have tough conversations you have a solid foundation to always fall back on.

not sure if you take this kind of questions, but i am a allosexual lesbian and was wondering if it could work to be in a relationship with an asexual person? Obviously, I wouldn’t feel sexually attracted to them and it depends on how they feel, but this has been on my mind for a while now and sorry if this doesn’t fit and is too long oops
Allosexual people date asexual people all the time. It’s completely normal. Like any relationship, there has to be some compromises made and I don’t see why this is any different. Lots of couples have different sex drives/desires etc, and this would just be like that. And I think some ace people would be okay with you being sexually attracted to them. It would depend on the person. I know an ace person who does have sex with their partner, for example. It’s really just about what you both feel comfortable with.
