BTS just dropped IDOL from Love Yourself Answer! The video was beautifully well done in a very different way then they've ever done it before, this one being chaotic and seemingly random from previous videos but if we know BTS than we know theres no way for it to be random. First lets talk about the golden gazebo looking structure in the very beginning. Structures like those were used to hold important meetings between higher up individuals when they wanted to meet in a little more private place. Secondly is that the boys themselves seem to match the concept photos for version L. In one part of the video their wearing traditional Korean clothing with a modern twist, in another part their wearing colorful and playful suits, and in yet another part their each wearing different clothes. Why I think it relates back to the concept photos is because of the different parts of themselves that are being shown throughout the video. One of the line in the video is “I Love Myself” and I think the changing of outfits represents different aspects of their personalities and who they are. The traditional Korean clothing to state that yes, they are Korean, and are proud to represent that. The playful suits is for their modern business attire worn by celebrities, showing that them being a celebrity is part of who they are as people. The individual clothing shares parts of each and every member. Taehyung is seen wearing a very quirky outfit with a lot of personality in it. Striped socks, a quirky tie, glasses, a business casual shirt with heart on it, and business casual slacks. Tae is a person who has a sense for style and likes to dress nicely, with a love of collecting ties and for Gucci. The quirkiness or “oddness” of the outfit addresses his naturally quirky and “weird” personality that the media has constantly shunned and tried to push away. Jimin is wearing jeans with holes and rips, a business casual button up, a sweater vest, green converse, and a baseball cap. The jeans refer to the hip hop style they come from, the converse from his dance background, the button up from the serious aspects of his personality, the hat and sweater are his sense of style. He’s often wearing sweaters in Vlives or even on camera while we’ve seen him for wearing baseball caps on quite a few occasions. Namjoon is seen wearing a large comfy throw, a t-shirt with hearts, board shorts, and long socks with white sneakers. Namjoon is a very comfortable person who likes soft things and has a big heart, he’s also very playful like a child and loves exploring and learning new things. The sneakers and socks relate to his childlike nature and curiosity, while the board shorts explains his love for adventure as board shorts are most commonly worn at the beach, and the throw represents his softness. Hobi is wearing either converse or vans, ripped cuffed jeans, a bugs bunny sweater with a casual button up underneath and glasses. The shoes once again representing dance and the jeans could represent the hip hop style he loves or simply his sense of style as he is shown wearing ripped pants quite often. The sweater and button up explain his casual personality that is ready to get down to work when needed and the glasses symbolize his knowledge as he wears his glasses when reading or composing music in his studio. Yoongi is wearing ripped jeans, a Snow White sweater, and a button up shirt. But one of the main things of his outfit that I focus on is his earrings. He is one of the members in the band that has the most piercings in his ears and he has a history with the earrings. The earrings shown are ones that he's worn before many times maybe even when he had his accident with one of his earrings being ripped out. I know Yoongi has actually been attacked at least by western media for his “excessive” amount of ear piercings making him feminine and unmanly. Jungkook has on sneakers, casual white pants, and then a t-shirt and a button up. Jungkook has a very active personality and lifestyle which I think can be shown by the sneakers. He is also a very laid back and casual person not one to ever really be eccentric which I think can be shown from the rest of his outfit choice. While the colors and even other things did have to match with the rest of the video the basis of what he's wearing still definitely shows. The button up explains his diligence with his work. Namjoon once commented in a Vlive when Jungkook walked in and was wearing a smilier button up that it was odd for him to be wearing such a shirt, but then realized that it was normal for him to wear while working or doing an interview like he had just come from. Jin is wearing a blazer, a button up, a quirky tie, and what looks like khaki shorts that were buttoned into pants. The tie and button up represent his working ethic as Jin has been known to work extremely hard for what he wants, the tie also giving off a sense of his quirky personality. The blazer represents where he comes from, a CEO father so that means he grew up in the business world, and the pants represent his childish personality that can be serious when needed. Children wear shorts adults where pants is a motto that I’ve heard a lot and the shorts turning into pants represent the ability to be both a child and an adult at heart. One of the lines in the song sounds like “You cant stop me from loving myself” and I think that that is directed towards the media, globally and back home in Korea. Many media outlets over the years and still even now try to get the boys to change who they are and try to put them down. Wether it be to forget where they started, or to push away their Korean roots, or to leave the global market behind. They've also been thrown many hateful comments some even as bad as death threats and telling them to kill themselves, any comment to try and take their love and respect for themselves and tear it down. In IDOL they're telling everyone that they will continuously love themselves no matter what anyone else says and that no one can change that. And in the very last scene of the MV we see each boy take a seat together representing them taking their thrones in the music industry. Thank you very much for reading and this is just a theory so please don't take this as law it is simply what I can pick apart from the video. I’m so proud of our boys and I hope that you can enjoy this and IDOL with their new Comeback!
So in concept photos L there is the ripped pictures. The most common theory surrounding the concept is the colored side is who they are portrayed as and who they feel pressured to be by the media on the colored side, and who they actually are on the monochrome side. Looking little more into this you can definitely see who the members really are. Taehyung is serious maybe even brooding on the colored side, but on the monochrome side he’s playful, curious, and just a little bit weird, as is shown by the “weird” hairstyle he has on. On Yoongi’s colored side there is someone cold, kind of blankly staring at the camera, while in his monochrome half he’s having fun, maybe even joking around with his finger pressed to his lips. Jungkook is shown as perfect in his colored photo, perfect hair, perfect suit, perfect posture, and then in his monochrome photo he’s a little less so, his hair is a little messy, his shirt is more casual more his style, and he slouches just a bit, he’s more relaxed in the monochrome photo more at ease instead of on edge. Namjoon is shown as sexy in his colored photo, with the traditional “sexy” man pose that is found in most magazines and photos, with ruffled hair and a smirk while in his monochrome photo his hair is neat, he’s sitting normally and he has a soft smile on his face showing that he’s comfortable. Jin’s colored photo is him with styled hair perfectly straight and in his traditional pose of crossed legs and using his kissy face, while in his monochrome photo his hair is messy and he’s wearing comfortable clothes like he would any other day at home. Hobi is smiling in both of his photo halves but in the colored one he's squeezing his eyes shut with bright clothes and ruffled hair, while in the monochrome one his smile is still bright but less forced and more normal, with a casual suit on and straight hair. Jimin’s photo halves both seem to be in turmoil but his colored half is pulling at his lips as if trying to force him to smile while his monochrome half is scratching at his head more tired than in turmoil, he’s also wearing a sweater in his monochrome half. Their personality can definitely be pulled from the monochrome halves, Taehyung with his curious playfulness, Yoongi with his quiet playfulness, Jungkook with his relaxed aura, Namjoon with his casual sophisticated style, Jin slightly more ruffled but still happy, Hobi being happy but it not being forced, Jimin tired but content. This is just what I can tell from the photo but if you have any thoughts or questions I'd love to hear them. If you'd like me to make a theory on something else please feel free to send in whatever you want me to see and I'll do my best.
BTS just released concept photos F for Love Yourself Answer. In every picture we see they're all in a playground, on a playground set or something similar. They seem to be playing with the set too, like a child would. We se Yoongi hanging from the monkey bars with Jungkook on top of them in the next photo. We see Namjoon hanging from a bar and Jimin sitting inside of metal swirl. Like reliving their childhood, or trying to hold onto their innocence otherwise known as their Youth. Its has had a common theme ever since their beginning and that has been Youth, and loving and living your life and loving yourself while doing it. This could be them trying to show us that they are still in their youth and that they are still who they were when they started this journey with us. This is just my own personal theory so please don't take what I say as a definite.
Ok so concept photo’s L were finally released today. It seems like they're trying to take us back to the past, to who they used to be before all this. In the first picture they're all standing together but there’s a rip through the middle of photo and inside the rip is showing us them dressed differently. The clothes seem a little baggier, a little like how they used to dress back in the first couple years after debut. In each members picture it shows them in present time and a rip on one half of the photo that shows us another side of them. A simpler side that shows us a hint of their true personality coming through the photo. In almost all the photos though, even though they're ripped their still smiling or seemingly content in them. We can see who they are/were before all the media and cameras and we can see who they are now, almost as if showing us a side by side comparison of who they are. and they're content and happy with how they’ve grown but they still want to remember where they came from. This is just my personal theory and what I can tell from the photos and what concept they seem to be using with this comeback so please don't take what I say as a definite.

About these BTS concept photos, I have 2 comments. 1st, I don't see any relation to the theme of the album: Love Yoursef: Answer. Second, I know BTS have always been honest about their issues concerning fame, but this got me sad. it's like they'rere complaining about us, Army, for getting famous and being followed by us. So, do they want us, army, to stop following them? Don't they like to have so many fans? Weren't they happy with getting so big? it's differnet from Hixtape lyrics: cont
So, first off thanks for commenting I love hearing peoples opinions and questions. And about the concept of Love Yourself Answer I cant say that I know what they’re thinking or doing, these are just my personal theories and what I can tell about the photos that were dropped, however BTS does have a tendency to bring light to places we’ve never seen before and connecting things we never though of so I wouldn’t put it past them to have some sort of connection between the album and the photos or else I don’t think BigHit would have let the photos drop. And then about your second comment I don’t personally think that its about having so many fans or anything or wanting Army to stop following them, I think it has more to do with the constant pressure society as a whole has put on them and the constant prying the media has put on their personal lives and everything they do to try and find fault with them or even discredit them. After becoming globally famous a lot of famous people and media icons are unhappy that they are famous for multiple reasons wether it be race or the message they’re trying to share or the fact that they are something fresh and genuinely happy and a good influence and it threatens their own careers. It also could be about sasaeng fans and how sometimes certain people take it to far but I don’t think thats what its talking about. I mentioned Army not to insinuate that BTS was constantly feeling pressure because of us more like how Army can sometimes unknowingly (and sasaengs) can add pressure to them. Like with Jimin’s weight, or Taehyung’s hair, or even the rumors of Namjoon’s plastic surgery. And it’s not always Army, a lot of people who made those comments were anti’s or people who don’t know BTS. Sometimes pressure can be to much, even with good intentions and some Army (definitely not all or even most) expect BTS to be perfect and that kind of pressure can sometimes feel suffocating. So I don’t believe BTS would ever make this about Army as they clearly love and adore Army with everything they have and are so grateful for everything Army has done for them I just added them in there because of my beliefs on the topic. And these are just my theories and what I can tell from the photos so please don’t take everything I saw as a definite, right now I’m just trying to work with what I was given. Thanks again for the questions though!
BTS has released two sets of concept photos recently and I feel the need to explain my thoughts on Concept E. We see the boys tied up with ribbon and then separated and in glass balls full of flowers and other greenery making it seem like a perfect world. The photos seem to show how the world has taken hold of them but no one notices due to it being wrapped with ribbon almost like hiding it in plain sight. Everyone would notice if they used chains, something forceful to hold them down but ribbon is unsuspecting and seemingly harmless. Each member in a glass ball shows me that its almost as if the world has taken hold of them and placed them inside a prison but filled it with things like flowers and trees so no one would notice. A prison everyone could see but no one would recognize. In every photo you can see each member either looking out of the ball (Yoongi, Jin, Hobi), or looking almost sadly at the flowers that are in the ball with them, as if sad that they were trapped too (Jimin, Namjoon, Taehyung, Jungkook). This is just a theory so please don't take my word for law or anything but this is what I can feel from these photos and even the concept S photos as well.
BTS just released their new concept photos for S and E sets and it seems that the S set of photos have been causing some backlash. Because the photos have things like hands and eyes and cameras emerging from the walls it seems that many fans are saying the photos are “ugly” and “scary”. It seems obvious to me the meaning behind this set of photos and just what makes them so beautiful in my opinion. BTS is constantly under scrutiny of the public, the fans, the haters, and even other artists are all looking at them to try and find faults within them. Every camera, every phone, every recording device has been shoved in front of them and they are constantly under society’s microscope to be picked apart whenever it feels like it. The hands are symbols of the many people who are constantly reaching towards them from seemingly every corner where they just cant get away because another one is right there, reaching for them. BTS has always released concept photos that give different meanings, and to me this one was one of the bests I've seen because of the message that is so clearly placed in it, it’s hard to miss. The photos were beautiful and our boys and BigHit worked hard on them to relay to us just what they’re feeling and trying to say, so I hope that this has helped shed some light on the photos and to help open your eyes to the meaning behind them and their hidden beauty.
So this is a little different from my normal posts, but I’ve had a couple of people ask me how I learned Korean and for tips and tricks so this is a compilation of the tips and tricks that I personally used to help me learn.
First-Study, study, study. Spend at least a couple hours a week (or as much time as you can) practicing and learning new words and pronunciation.
Second-Speak! If you're like me and no one around you is Korean its really difficult to find someone to speak to and thats okay, just talk to yourself and say the new words out loud when you learn/practice them.
Third-Use as many senses as you can. Write the word down, read it, say it, hear it. This will help you to remember it. I’ve even heard of drawing pictures that goes along with the word.
Fourth-Remember the basics! The basics are super important in any language but especially in languages that have a different alphabet and different sounds than in your first language, and its really important that you remember them.
Fifth-Take advantage of the free apps/websites online. These are super useful and really helpful when you're trying to learn and you don't have a teacher, or even for practicing what your teacher gave you.
Sixth-Use YouTube to help with learning new words, writing in hangul, the different sounds that the hangul make, etc. Trust me it works wonders.
Seventh-Label everything. And I mean everything. Your house, objects, and work items that you have. This is an easy way to help remember what the name of these certain things are because you see the label whenever you use it.
Eighth-Keep a set notebook for that language. You need to have a designated notebook for just Korean or else it will get confusing and difficult to read through your notes.
Ninth-After taking notes for a certain period of time, (I do mine for about a week), look back through your notes and rearrange them a clean sheet of paper in a way that makes better sense.
Tenth-When practicing your pronunciation stick a pencil in your mouth sideways so that your teeth rest on it and speak around the pencil. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT CHOKE ON THE PENCIL! This will help your mouth form the words in ways that is normally difficult for English speakers.
Eleventh-Learn Bachim. Just learn it. This will make life so much easier as you go through and continue learning. Just do it.
Twelfth-Dont be afraid to find a pen pal or someone who's willing to talk online in and about Korean. I know it might seem scary at first but trust me, it really helps you grow in confidence and fix any little mistakes that the computer cant help you catch.
Thirteenth-Watch KDramas/KPOP. I know you've probably heard this before but heres why you should so it. When you listen to how they speak and pronounce the words it helps you to correct your own speaking mistakes and help develop an accent.
Fourteenth-Listen to as many different accents as you can. If you get used to the Seal accent then when someone from Busan tries to talk to you you will most likely not be able to understand them, simply because of the slight differences in pronunciation.
Fifteenth-As soon as you feel comfortable enough or decide that you need to there are plenty of apps or websites where you can actually interact with Korean teenagers like yourself, most of the time over KPOP or KDRAMAS and it will help build your confidence.
This is is all I could really think of but please feel free to add your own thoughts, opinions, tips, tricks and information on the subject! And last but not least, remember you're not alone or weird for trying to learn Korean. It’s a beautiful language that can sometimes be really difficult. Just keep your head up and keep trying and I promise you'll make it!
So with the recent Fake Love choreography I've come to notice and issue that I feel needs to be addressed. Jungkook’s abs being shown during the choreography was a pretty amazing moment, however the backlash from this I feel needs to be addressed. A lot of fans are focusing just on Jungkook’s abs and are even complaining and getting angry when they aren't shown on stage. Firstly, Jungkook can't always show his abs due to certain stage outfits like the harness he was wearing last time, secondly, Jungkook doesn't need to show his abs all the time. He is an amazing singer, rapper, dancer, performer, actor, friend, and idol, he does not deserve to be seen only for his abs. Third, I would just like to say that while I enjoyed being able to see them and the effort he put into his body/work if Jungkook doesn't want to show them and is being pressured to show them then I would be perfectly fine with never seeing them again. He may be an idol but he is also human, a hard working one, and deserves to be treated and respected just like everyone else. His is much more than his body and deserves to be remembered for everything he's worked so hard to accomplish, not just his body.

Please be considerate of your idols families. I’ve noticed some hateful comments being directed to idols family members or even people swarming them when they're out in public. Just because they are related to your idols does not mean its okay to swarm them and just because you don't like them does not mean its okay to send hate comments and death threats. These are the people who raised and grew up with your idols and you should be grateful to them, not disrespectful and rude. Please recognize that they are people too and deserve to be treated like normal people.

New Album, New Era, New MV. Our boys have worked so hard on this and deserve to be were they are.
Don't get me wrong, I find that watching as my favorite idols and stars doing ageyo and being cute absolutely adorable and lovable, but we as fans need to remember that why we think its cute and funny or adorable and lovable these are most often young adults and teenagers who are the ones who are asked most often to do ageyo for an interview or show etc. I myself am a teenager and know just how embarrassing that would be if I acted like that and then imagining doing it in front of live television or something will be broadcasted and shown everywhere would be absolutely terrifying and embarrassing. I know some idols don't mind doing it and some actually enjoy it and that is perfectly fine and deserves to be supported but we also need to support the idols who don't want to act like that or get embarrassed by it. I know that its generally pretty excepted as normal in Korea and its part of their fame culture but its my personal belief that they should be able to choose and be supported on wether or not they have to do ageyo or not.
