Centaur: Well it’s easy for you to bend over, isn’t it?

Horse: *snorts*

Centaur: Oh I’ll have it. I am starving.

Human: Didn’t you just eat like an entire barrel of hay?

Human torso only has stomach.

Horse torso has heart, lungs, liver, kidneys/bladder, etc.

Because to move that much bulk, you’d need huge lungs and a massive heart. Two hearts would be difficult to coordinate, and how would two sets of lungs but only one intake work? A puny human heart and human lungs couldn’t power a horse body. But horse lungs and heart could for sure power a human body that only uses its arms anyhow. So what should go in all the space left over in the human torso?

STOMACH. Intestines run all the way down into the horse torso (the horse-o if you will) to have more space to extract all the nutrition possible. Horses and humans have different nutritional needs after all, so gotta make sure every scrap of food is used to its fullest.
