David Production’s 2014-2015 anime adaptation of Araki Hirohiko’s manga “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Part 3: Stardust Crusaders” was– overall– incredibly faithful to the source material.

This makes it interesting to examine the moments when David Pro deviated from that source material…

…and dialed the gay subtext between Avdol and Polnareff up to 11.

What Words Can’t Convey

~Because of your amnesia, you weren’t aware your hearing was rather lackluster at first. You often couldn’t hear your allies when they would speak to you and they assumed you asking was simply you weren’t paying attention or that you didn’t care. It took your team a while to realize you actually had a hard time hearing anything after calling out to you in an App Battle and you not responding. Lucky for you, Shiro was able to refresh your memory enough on sign language. Though mostly thanks to muscle memory. Your friends also invested enough money to get you a hearing aid so you can hear them a bit easier, however it looked like you and Shiro would be teaching the others sign language for some time since the hearing aid wasn’t always a convenient solution.

~However, knowing of your own disability won’t stop you from pursuing your own vices like finding love. Using a dating app you actually found someone who was interested in you- well, almost… you had left out the fact you were hard of hearing on your profile. You promised yourself that you’d tell your date the truth once you started dating. Of course you weren’t actually expecting anyone to be interested. Now someone was messaging you as your match on this app and the two of you got along well. You decided to finally meet one another at a small shop not too far from your location. So with all your courage you went off to find your blind date.

The Snow’s Meow

~Snow was a professional. He should be able to repress the urge to succumb to his desires well enough. However, with you he let his guard down too easily. You’ve seen his repressed side once before and thought he’d be much cuter if he showed that side of himself. “I appreciate the compliment… However my master and I have reputations to uphold and if that reputation were to crack, then no doubt my young master would suffer shame and humiliation for such a pathetic display. You however, have my trust.” You gave him a rather smug look and reiterated that you were allowed to see his softer side. He reaffirmed this.

~Which is something he shouldn’t have done because as soon as he slipped away into the back you followed after him into the kitchen. Ensuring you were both alone you lunged for your sneak attack! Your point of attack: his ears! Your immediate instinct was to give the back of his ears a good scratch. Snow, taken off guard, drops the tray and spills some of the tea all over the countertop in the backroom. “H-Hold for a moment-!” Snow pleaded, but you were merciless in your scratching. You told him you knew he loved it as you saw his face flushed. Snow couldn’t hold back a low murr of satisfaction as his face became flushed. “P-Please…!” He begged while panting. “I can’t allow Master Claude to catch me in such disarray-!” Due to all the squirming the two of you fell to the ground with you on top of him. You just happened to land face first on his chest and you both took immediate notice. Snow grew rather concerned and almost fearful while you became rather adventurous.

Tadatomo’s Precious Master

~“Master, you have no need to fret. I’ll be here for you so you will no longer be alone.” Tadatomo told you as he pulled you into an embrace. His words offer you a small comfort as you return the embrace longingly. How long had it been since you last received a hug from someone who cared about you this much? “And please, don’t hesitate to come to me for any help. I’ll stand ready by your side. You need only ask.” He proposed formally. While it was a nice gesture, you knew you couldn’t take advantage of him because he deserved more than being a simple servant. You cared about him too much to burden him with your issues.

~Tadatomo fawned over you day in and day out. He’d constantly pick up on your minor quirks and comment how cute they were unabashedly. You on the other hand would become immediately flustered and self conscious about your actions, which only made you cuter in his eyes. When around you, Tadatomo became a completely different person around you. The sweet and caring Tadatomo you knew was a hot tempered killer around threats to your safety. He was ruthless, yet kind.

Okay so this is something that I’d call more style over substance cuz when I saw gangster I thought of the swing and jazz era of gangsters. I’ll link a guide for the slang and how poorly I implemented it, ahaha… anyway, good luck on this event you guys!

~He wasn’t exactly the big boss in the mob. Just another face in the mob. Ready to take a bullet to protect the boss. That’s the world he grew up around and in, shown to be replaceable at a moment’s notice. For all the operations he was the muscle and did what he was told without hesitation. Big Cheese needed someone blipped off, did it without question. And he’d do a clean sneak of a job too.

~That was until he accompanied the Big Shot to the clip joint that evening. That’s when he saw the cat’s meow: you. Through the smoking butts and clammed glares, he saw you for the chippy you were. To be dizzy with a dame such as yourself was asking for a dance, and while he was peached plenty of times that broads like you would lead bulls and gum-shoes to knocking on your door. Still a bearcat such as yourself was alluring to him. He had been packing heat anyway so if any of them would try to throw him in the can on the spot he’d just put em in the big sleep.

~Right now, the cake-eater was out for you. You honestly thought he was sheik, so why not have a little fun?

~But what if, the goon never caught your attention. What if the Big Cheese he was with wanted nothing more than to pet a bearcat such as yourself? He’d whisper his crush on you in your ears behind you while caressing every nook and cranny of your figure as he’d get fried off of giggle water right beside you. When he tried going in for a kiss you stopped his lips and told him the bank was closed. “Then let me check sometime, baby.” He’d ask.

~You knew not to mess with a Dapper like him, but there was something about him that made him Daddy material. You knew he wanted you because out of all the Janes around in the joint, Shino said you’ve got It. Those Lines were nothing more than that however. He lusted for you purely for contact, and he could get any bubs from some other Dumbbell.

~“There you are Summoner.” Hati said, a bit out of breath as he stumbled towards you. You joked a bit asking him where the fire was exactly since he seemed to be in quite the hurry. “T-There’s no fire!” He stammered while blushing. “I’m trying to be serious! I’ve been looking all over for you! The least you could do is stay in one place for more than 20 seconds!” Hati whined. You apologized for joking like that and asked him to calm down as politely as you could. “You’re right…” The silver wolf sighed with a deep breath. “It’s just you never told me this was your Summon Day!” Ah right, how could a detail like that slip out you ponder as you ponder the list of contacts who were aware. You tried downplaying the day since you didn’t have that many memories prior to entering Tokyo. “Nonsense!” He declared. “Your Summon day is just as important as Christmas or a Gabriel concert to me! I’m not letting you weasel out.”

~It was very lateinto the night as you were roaming the halls from using the bathroom.You honestly couldn’t make your way back to the room, you were thatsleepy. Jambavan who was still up at this hour because of last minutework took notice of your groggy disposition. “Hey, are youalright?” He asked you. You shrugged it off that you were justsleepy. “That won’t do! You look exhausted.” You told him likehe looked any better? “H-Hey, I’m trying to help you here! I knowjust the thing for a sleepy head like you.” Jambavan said whiletaking your hand.

~Jambavan took youback to his office and sat on the bed with you. You asked him if hereally sleeps where he works. “I found it the best fit for lateshifts like this, I normally don’t spend the night here though…”He explained. “Please, lie down.” He said while motioning for hislap. Was he implying you sleep using him as a pillow? “Y-Yes. Iknow its very forward but I’ve been told by Alice my fur is verysoothing. So I figured…” You understood and at this point youdecided it couldn’t hurt. So you laid your head on his lap. Eventhrough his pajamas you could feel the softness of his fur and wasout like a light while Jambavan finished the last of his work.

Star Crossed Devotion.

~Hati and Snow meeting at this concert was a happy accident. Snow knew he was busted and did his best attempt at a cover up. “T-This isn’t as it seems…!”

“It LOOKS like you’re enjoying the show without your Guild master around.” Hati said. “I told you, it’s fine! We fans have to stick together.”

“You don’t understand. If word gets out about this, I’m surely going to bring shame to my young master. Plus I’d receive endless mockery from that excuse of a maid no doubt…”

Hati understood. “I see. Then don’t worry! Your secrets safe with me!” He boldly claimed. “All fans of Gabriel deserve to express their love in their own way. Even if we sometimes have to hide it out of fear…”

Snow was speechless at Hati’s understanding. “…You have my thanks…”

“If you’d like, I could even sneak you some special merch that’s pretty hard to come by. D-Don’t worry it’s not a con or anything I swear!”

“Thank you, but coming to these shows every now and again is all I need.”

“O…kay?” And with that said Snow bid farewell to the wolf.

~After that encounter Hati started noticing Snow around a lot, and I do mean a lot, more frequently. The large lion Transient always in the accompaniment of his red haired master. Hati had to admit that Snow was rather alluring. The lion was very handsome and having knowledge that no one else is allowed to no about was pretty attractive to him. It was like they had a special connection no one else could share… Next concert Hati kept an eye out for Snow. Luckily enough he saw him watching over in the back and decided to start some small talk. Mostly about what their favorite songs by Gabriel were.

His Chubby Hubby

~That’s what Bathym referred to you as. You were his chubby hubby and he loved to remind you every chance he could slip it into a sentence. He would often snag you up in a hug from behind and play with the rolls on your belly. You’d be embarrassed to say the least, but didn’t mind it since it was all in good fun. With as much adoration he was given, he made sure to feed you with food adoration as well. You wished he’d take you more seriously at times.

~Bathym once tried to get you to do capoeira with him to keep you a nice and fit type of fluffy, but you couldn’t hope to keep up with the pro. It at least helped you maintain your weight without leaning one way or another. Though Bathym wanted you to watch your health, he also enjoyed keeping you nice and plump. Your lap made for a nice pillow, there was more of you to grab and jiggle around, and made you impossibly irresistible. Or so he put it.

Going out with Oz

~Confessing to Ozcaused him to faint. Literally he couldn’t contain himself and fellbackwards. When he came to he was a little different. He didn’tspeak with as much of a stammer and indeed referred to himself as Zoinstead of Oz. He was also more confident than normal and explainedhe’d love to go out sometime. Later did they explain to you thatthey were two guys sharing the same body. While confused at first, itwasn’t difficult to understand in the long run. You didn’t letthat stop your crush on Oz and it seemed that at times Zo was moregiving advice than being a third wheel.

~You remember onedate you went on with Oz, he was talking to you about outer space andhow he wished to see the stars before his life was over. Even if itwas only once, he wanted to see them up close. However, Oz was oftencowardly and would shy away from a lot of situations despite onlywanting to do his best. “S-sometimes I wonder… maybe I’ll neverget to space…” He confided in you. You told him to stop thinkinglike that. The only one capable of finding his way to space his him,and you were positive Zo agreed with you. “You… really believe inme that much…?” You took his hand in both of yours and told himof course you did. He may not see it but you told him he was one ofthe strongest people he knew. Oz didn’t say much else after that,you just left him to ponder it all.
