i really like the idea of tim being afraid of the dark (at least when he's alone) because it's something i associate a lot with having childhood onset psychosis. a lot of kids are expected to get over that at some point but seeing monsters and being convinced somebody is gonna step out of the shadows and get you can really throw a wrench in that. and so he never really got over it.
