Jogjakarta
Did a little sight-seeing around Jogja and found plenty of good food and coffee.
Beef, vegetables and rice. Made the mistake of not memorising the name of the dish.
Stewed beef ribs with steamed kangkong and mendoan tempe - all of these are local specialities because I saw these dishes repeat in other restaurants as well. I have to say that the local dishes are incredibly healthy because they stew or steam their meats and vegetables a lot.
Beef rendang, Balinese style at a restaurant called Warung Heru. I am quite fond of this place because the place is run by a Balinese lady who continues her grandmother's legacy, and incredibly friendly. Service was excellent, even though it was packed when I went there, their staff were incredibly polite and prompt in taking orders and making sure we were served on time.
What's a holiday without a little dessert? Thick slice of French toast with fresh strawberry jam and a little cream accompanied by a latte.
Will absolutely visit again at the next opportunity to take a better look at Borobudur & Prambanan, and for more shopping hauls at Matahari. Lovely weather too!
