I was pretty certain that the Supreme Court was going to tell President Trump "No" on the Birthright Citizen fight. I really appreciate that he tried. I really appreciate that this is a man who doesn't pander, who puts his money where his mouth is but, I was pretty certain the Supreme Court was going to shoot him down. And I was certain of this fact for the same reason why I was certain that the Supreme Court would uphold "Trans" athlete bans.
Trump had a really good argument against Birthright Citizenship in that no other country does it, so why should we? It's a choice, an option and not a right. But...
"Birthright Citizenship" is the way it has always been. It's in the constitution, "Natural Born Citizens," as opposed to "Naturalized," and it seemed VERY unlikely to me that the Supreme Court was ever going to "Find" that everyone had been wrong these past 240 years...
And it's that same "It's always been that way" view which made me so certain that the Supreme Court would uphold the "Trans" athlete ban.
It's against the law to discriminate on the basis is sex.
Sexual discrimination is illegal.
UNLESS you can demonstrate some compelling reason.
And they can. Almost NOWHERE are boys allowed to play on girls sports teams, BECAUSE boys have a distinct physical advantage. So boys can't play on the girls team.
AND, because I was not abundantly clear here, and we all know that a certain demographic needs these things spelled out, "Identity" is NOT a distinct physical advantage.
No boy is barred from playing on the girls team BECAUSE OF IDENTITY, they are barred due to the distinct physical advantages of being a male.
This doesn't change because someone "Identifies" differently. It's not even a consideration, this "Identity." It's about physiology and always has been.
There's a secondary issue where "Freedom" is perverted into "Control of others."
Of course you are free to "Identify" as anything you want. You have that freedom. But that FREEDOM is not CONTROL over others. You can't force everyone else to agree with you. If you were born male and now identify as female, that's your right. And if the man next to you looks at you and says, "That's a dude" then guess what? That is HIS RIGHT! Your right to identify as you please doesn't grant you the power to control others, dictate their thoughts and perceptions. And a "Trans" athlete is saying that they DO have that power, that they should & do have the right to control your language, your thoughts & perceptions...
"I see myself as a girl so now YOU HAVE TO!"
Their freedom to identify as they please is not a license to destroy your freedom.
So I didn't see any way the Supreme Court could have ruled differently.
