Sometimes I think about how the literal main plot of Peacemaker is about a lesbian meeting a bisexual man and realising (and making him realise) that he’s actually a good person, he doesn’t have to be what everyone wants him to be, and that everyone will love him for who he really is. And, in turn, she gets to be seen as who she really is and loved for that too. And it’s not like their identities are just an unrelated character detail, or are just headcanons, or are canon but only in a throwaway tweet. They’re a core part of that relationship and the entire plot. And this is happening in a major mainstream superhero show? What the fuckkkk

is there a proshot/slime tutorial/film adaptation of oklahoma you'd recommend? i've never seen it in any capacity but i'd like to!

my fellow oklahomies: is there a good video bootleg of sexy oklahoma kicking about? (especially the west end production. not that i’m biased) i know there are a few from the earlier productions but the staging made it difficult to get a good capture and i’ve not really searched since then……….

anyway! there is a proshot from the 90s (with hugh jackman as curly!) and a film from 1955 (which omits lonely room, an unforgivable sin) - both of these are much more “traditional” versions of oklahoma so while i think there’s value to them, as oklahoma is a great musical in its own right and DEEPLY important to the broader history of musical theatre, if you’re interested in specifically the version of oklahoma that i am personally insane about their primary value is so you can compare & contrast and see just how much the 2019 revival changed the story without adjusting the script at all. like if you watch those you simply will not comprehend my jud fry illness because he is framed totally differently as a character compared to Sexy Jud

and there is, of course, a cast recording of sexy oklahoma available on your streaming platform of choice x
