What's in a name

Some interesting character beats here. Jax makes a big show of how everybody's just a flat archetype, and Pomni's first assumption is that Jax's archetype is "the villain." Jax insists that rather than a villain he's just "the funny one," but when he corners Ragatha later, she assumes everything he's been doing to get closer with Pomni has flatly been for evil reasons. Jax was in fact just getting closer with Pomni because he likes hanging out with her, and being flattened to the "villain" archetype by Ragatha here makes him extremely upset. For someone who insists on archetypes, he really hates being assigned the wrong one. He desperately wants to be "the funny one" and doesn't want to acknowledge that he's been making himself "the villain."

Something tells me it would've looked like this. That scenario would've been their fight in episode 6, except Pomni didn't get up. Just like her mom
