narumi studying

some days i feel so tired working on the same projects i’ve been working on this whole semester. and now that the deadlines are so close, i can’t even think about all the exciting plans i have for this summer. i don’t regret doing an art degree, but sometimes it feels so unnatural to have to force myself to work on my art. i’ve been avoiding actually painting for a while by focusing on my other classes, but now i have to finish a piece by the end of the week so tomorrow i’ll probably just be working on that, whether i want to or not.

worked on a few assignments and went in a walk. right now i’m on a side mission of finding out what is the best study spot in the city (my main mission being finishing my degree, of course)

This particular shopping mall is right next to a park, so during a break i went on a walk and got to see lots of birds, especially baby ducks! They brought me so much joy, i felt filled with energy to get back to work :)

i’m doing a double major which means i have to do two final projects at the same time. it’s kind of exhausting but i think i’m handling it better than most of my classmates who are also doing the same program as me. at some point i thought that there was something wrong with me because everyone was stressing out around me so i figured i should be missing something. but today my coordinator for one of my projects told me that people just like stressing themselves out and as long as i do my work then i shouldn’t be worried. that felt amazing coming from a teacher.

I spent the rest of the day studying for the History of Cinema exam i have tomorrow. It’s the hardest exam i have this year and also the one with the least credits, which is very annoying. But i guess thats just how these things go sometimes.

spent the weekend studying in cafes and taking long walks because it’s been warmer outside than inside my house. enjoyed a bit of sunshine because this spring has been very cold and even though the days are longer, it doesn’t really feel like summer is coming.

I took history of cinema as an elective this year and it was a big mistake because it’s by far the most difficult class i had this semester. he made us watch so many movies that apparently not even the film students have to watch anymore. i do love cinema and am glad that this class made me watch some old movies that i other wouldn’t have, but with having to work on my dissertation and other, more important exams coming up, this class really feels like a pain. but here is a list with some of the films i had to watch this year. i’ll probably make another one once i finish watching everything :)

today i worked a bit on an art piece for my final project and started studying for a history of cinema exam i have next week. i also planned out the entirety of next month with tasks that i have to do each day because there are so many things to do that it’s getting really difficult to keep track of them.

i’ve been so busy working on art projects lately i forgot to post here. for the past few days i’ve only had a few minutes at a time to study, but today i finally found a few hours to spend reading. i went to a cafe so i would distract myself with household chores or other assignments. the goals for this weekend are to finish the book i’m reading, and to make some sketches for the next art project i have to start on monday.

today i had a three hour break between classes so i spent it in a cafe with my friends chatting and studying. after my last class i went to the park to read until it got too dark to see and i finally finished the book i’ve been reading for the past week and a half ! so now i’m almost up to date with my reading schedule. i’ve been a bit confused about when my classes are scheduled this semester because our uni has a very weird system so i’m trying to squeeze in some extra hours of reading whenever i get the chance.

falling a little bit behind on my reading, but i think i can get back on track soon. i went to the park yesterday and it looked incredible, i love this time of the year so much

today i spent most of the day in a cafe reading some of the required texts for my bachelor’s thesis. i’ve also been struggling to figure out what i want my final project to be about, but i feel like i might be getting there soon.
