i can’t stop thinking about this picture, or how it would fit into a (very) loose ‘almost famous’ au, so uh. here’s that.

“Sorry,” Niall said, catching Harry’s eye in the mirror. Harry’s reflection quirked its mouth into a faint, lopsided smile. Niall tightened his grip on the door knob. “I was just. Um.”

With a grand, sweeping gesture, Harry cocked an eyebrow, still holding Niall’s eye. He had a very symmetrical face. His reflection looked just the like the real thing. “My bathroom is your bathroom.”

It wasn’t actually Harry’s bathroom. Not in a technical sense. But it was Harry’s name in lights on the marquee outside, and Harry’s fans screaming audibly through the walls, and Harry’s stuff lined up on the vanity like he’d moved in. Like he really did own the place.

Maybe he did, if just for tonight.

Niall swallowed. “Right.” Letting go of the doorknob, he shuffled further inside, careful to give Harry his space. He’d have picked a different bathroom to barge into if he’d known Harry was in this one.
